Dante peered down at his kingdom--admiring the view from high above the clouds.
He didn't know much about the human turf, and was always told not to frequent those alleyways and villages, but weren't they his people, too?
At sixteen, he met Ruby---a young peasant housekeeper who was orphaned and living in a home just outside of his castle.
"Why must we hire the peasants?" His mother would ask from time to time.
"We need them to know their place," His father would answer.
"What is their place?" Dante asked, curiously.
"Below us," Father snorted, "Now get to your studies or you'll be just as ignorant as they are."
