"Why not?" Dante asked, "Surely a dragon has had you ride him before--not intimately, of course."

"No," Ruby said, "I have never had the pleasure."

"Well, there's always a first time for everything, yes? Look at my kingdom," he mused, "Isn't it glorious?"

"I wouldn't know," Ruby told him, "I am orphaned and lived in squalor most of my days because of your father."

"Lies.."

"Not lies," Ruby insisted, "His disdain for humans was quite known which is why I don't like you."

"You think I am my father?"

"The apple doesn't fall far," Ruby snorted, "I am sure your father wasn't just ruthless, but a cheating cad."

"A cheating cad, eh?"

"I said what I said."
