The sun beamed through the room, as i opened my eyes and felt something heavy resting on my abdomen. I was confused and looked down to see a man's arm over my lower stomach. I frowned as I had absolutely no idea where I was. That was until I turned to my right to see a Man shirtless sleeping beside me.
I closed my eyes and counted silently to five and then opened my eyes hoping that I was back home in my own bed on my own. As I opened my eyes it dawned on me that I had come back to a hotel with a man last night. A few tequilas later resulted in today's feelings.I managed to slowly move the mans arm and reach over to the wooden bedside table where luckily my phone was. I picked it up to see seven missed calls from my mum and 50+ texts from Naomi asking where I went. I looked down and that's when I realised that I was in an oversized t-shirt and my lace knickers. I turned around to see the man, still fast asleep beside me. I closed my eyes and checked the time to see that I only had an hour to get to my new job. I had absolutely no clue where I was and the worst thing about this was that, I didn't even know who I had spent the night with.
I slowly stood up and made my way over to the bottom of the bed where thankfully, last night's dress and shoes were. I knew that I needed to get out of here, I was going to be late. Though I had thoughts going through my mind saying I should leave a note or something rather than just leaving. I hardly know the guy, and would most likely never see him again. So I made the decision to leave without him knowing. He was fast asleep, it was a fun night for what I can remember at this moment but we'll never see eachother again and I had to go to my new job.
I grabbed my dress and put that one. I left the t-shirt on bottom of the bed and grabbed my heels and handbag from off the floor and made my way towards the door. I didn't hesitate to turn around, I just opened the door as quietly as I could and got out of there.
Luckily the floor the hotel room was on had a lift, so made my way down to the lift and pressed the down button. It was seconds but it felt forever for the lift doors to open. As I stepped into the lift, I pressed the floor button and the lift doors closed. The list of one night stands stood at two, the first being with my ex Jake. We met at a football award ceremony in London Five years ago, and that turned into a relationship of four years. This one night stand, would stay just that one night stand. Out of 100% the possibility of seeing that man again stood at 2%.
The lift doors opened and the lobby was very busy, which made my situation a little more awkward. You hear of all those awkward and embarrassing walk of shames. I was now part of it. A few People turned and looked at me as I was walking through the lobby wearing on shoes, last night's makeup still on and my hair probably a mess. I hung my head low trying to get out there the fastest I could.
As soon I got outside a row of taxis were lined up on the pavement, so I walked over to the first one "hello, can you take me home please" I asked hoping that the driver could. The driver nodded and I got in the taxi starting my journey back home. "Fun night was it?" He asked as i looked at him through the mirror and smiled. The taxi pulled up outside the apartment building and i paid by my phone and headed upstairs to my apartment. Thankfully my apartment was on the second floor and so I didn't have to go far. I got to outside my apartment and fumbled through my handbag to look for my keys. My anxiety started to rise as I couldn't find them, I tipped my handbag out onto the carpet to see lipstick and my phone. No keys and no car key. It then hit me, I must of dropped them in the taxi or even worse left them on the floor in the hotel room. If the ground could swallow you, I would be drowning. How could lose my keys.
After getting a spare set of keys from the manager on the desk, I opened the door and walked into my apartment. I closed the door and walked straight to my bedroom. I looked at my alarm clock to see i had twenty minutes to get to work. Luckily the smart part of my brain told me to get my work clothes out for today and so picking an outfit wasn't on the top of my hectic list.
