not proofread.Y/n POV
I took my headphones off as I thought I heard the sound of knocking on my door.
I hung them around my neck as I put my nintendo to the side before getting up from my bed.I stretched my arms a little, silently wondering who was at the door at this hour?
Last time I checked, it was well past midnight and it had already been at least an hour since I last checked.....
Nevermind, I did have an idea of who it was now.
I walked over to the door and pushed it open.
And I barely got to register who it was as they had already pushed past me and into my dorm room."Rude." I mumbled as I closed the door behind him before turning around to face him.
Honestly, I expected him to be standing there, his ruby eyes wide with wicked lust like they usually were when he'd visit me in the late hours of the night.
But instead, Katsuki's beautiful gaze was fixated on the floor beneath him.It was only then that I noticed he was still in his hero attire, only without his shirt which he was clutching tightly in his left hand.
I took a few steps forward with the desire to see his eyes again, as they revealed most of his thoughts and emotions.
I sought to understand him and his problems."What's wrong?" I asked, stopping right in front of him.
He didn't reply at first. He just stood in his spot for several moments. I would've thought time froze for a few seconds if it weren't for his trembling shoulders.
It was subtle, but it was there. Then, he turned around.
"...I... need your help..." He spoke with a low voice. My eyes widened as they landed on his back.
The metal rods from todays training were still attached to his back.
No, they were welded onto his bare skin.I recalled asking about them earlier today, after his match. But the moron had just brushed it off of course.
Blood dripped down his back, both from the metal and from deep scratch marks that I assumed were from him trying to get them off himself.
I won't lie.
I was fighting demons trying not to say anything snarky or sarcastic back at him, as he actually asked for my help. Which, for the record, he never did.
So, while I did want to say something about it, I suppose I was also honored that he had put that much trust in me.
I sighed quietly, as I took another quiet step forward.
I gently touched the metal rods, "Why didn't you go to recovery girl immediately?" I asked him as I inspected his back. His shoulders tensed up and he didn't reply.
He didn't reply because we both knew that I knew the answer to that question, so asking it was truly just a waste of my breath.Of course he didn't want to ask for help. He wanted to fix it on his own. It was obvious, really.
And yet, here he was; in my room, vulnerable and asking for my help.
I couldn't help but smile faintly."I'll help you." I said. Or, i'll try to at least. I wasn't even sure if I could help him without actually ripping his skin off in the process.
Katsuki glanced back at me over his shoulder with a rare look in his eyes; gratitude.
I pointed to the chair, asking him to sit down as I rolled my sleeves up.
He did as he was told and sat down, his arms hugging the backrest."Just do it." He mumbled, not sparing me a single glance.
"Okay." I replied as I walked over to him and grabbed one of the rods as tightly as I could before pulling.
His back tensed up as he let out a bloodcurdling yell.
I couldn't help but feel a bit bad, but it has to be done.I gritted my teeth as I used all my strength to rip the first rod off his skin.
I quickly threw it to the side, letting the heavy material hit the floor with a loud thud.He breathed heavily as his back remained tense. And I could already spot the drops of sweat forming on his skin.
I immediately grabbed the next one and pulled, this one detaching a lot quicker as I seemed to have figured out a strategy.I was sure all of his screaming would've woken someone up by now.
I can just imagine Mina next door covering her ears with their pillow.Eventually I pulled the last one out, immediately throwing it aside as I had done with the rest.
I left him on the chair, his breathing heavy and uneven as I went ahead and fetched some bandages.
Neither of us said anything as i wrapped his torso up in cloth. It was a rather comfortable silence though, nothing like those awkward silences i'd usually experience amongst other people.
I suppose that's another thing I like about Katsuki. When I was done I gently ran my fingers through his hair before placing a soft kiss on his shoulder, to which his body visibly relaxed at as the tension in his shoulders seemed to completely disappear.
His voice suddenly broke the comfortable silence. "Can I..." He whispered, his tone carrying something that could be described as almost nervousness. "...sleep here tonight....?"
I couldn't bite back the faint smile that found itself on my lips. "Of course." I replied.
I couldn't even see his face, as he was facing away from me, but his ears turning a faint shade of red told me more than his words ever could.
an: not sure if i really like this one or not, but whatever
