y/n pov.

The streets were silent and dark as the blissful peace of the night lingered in the chilly air.

The stars were shining brightly, ultimately lighting up the darkened sky, which was nice for a change as the stars rarely showed in the city.

The sight of the beautiful solar bodies almost made me forget about that seething anger and creeping tiredness that filled my body.

Getting a call from your boyfriend at 3 in morning, telling you that he's in jail isn't fun.
No, it is. At least the first three times.

But now it's getting... mildly annoying.

Oh, how I would kill to be back in my warm bed, sleeping right now.

I yawned as I entered the jail, marching straight up to the "reception" if you can even call it that.
The officer that sat behind the desk didn't even greet me, he just held his palm out.

I then placed a stack of bills in his hand, which he quickly shoved into the safe behind him.
I was basically a regular here.

He then proceeded to press a red button which caused the door to my left to slide open.
And then an angry, definitely ashamed Katsuki stepped out with his arms crossed.

I glared at him from across the room, my eyebrow twitching violently.

I walked out of the building in silence, expecting to follow me as usual. Which he did.

We walked in silence until we were at least a hundred meters away from the embarrassingly familiar jail.

I turned around and he immediately froze.

I let out a loud sigh as i crossed my arms, my breath forming a small cloud in the chilly air.

"What the fuck did you do this time?"
I asked him, trying to remain calm. Who knows, maybe he was defending some girl on the street. Even though the chances were unlikely considering what it usually was.

His red eyes never once met mine, as they darted all over the place. Anywhere except my face.

"Look at me, and tell me." I demanded.

His bashful eyes then met mine. Then, his lips moved slightly, but I couldn't tell what he said.
"Speak up, Katsuki."

"...I kicked a child."

I paused for a few seconds. "What?"

His gaze got averted towards the ground beneath us again. "I kicked a child." He repeated.

I raised an eyebrow as I took a step forward, my eyes frantically searching for his gaze. "Are you lying?" I asked.

He glanced at me again with a small frown. "No."

A groan of frustration escaped my mouth as I rolled my eyes. "God, I can't even be mad at you now." I mumbled as I turned around and continued to walk down the empty streets. But not before taking his hand in my mine.
