I spent about 2 bands in the mall with Nika yesterday but that's light work, at the end of the night I took her home helped her carry all the bags in, and went on my way back to my house
Now this morning we're Leaving for an away game and we're getting on the bus for now, I grab a seat with azzi because we haven't had a chance to talk yet, since I transferred here
I'm sleeping with my beats on when someone shakes me, it's Paige asking to switch seats because Nika got mad at her for something
I make my way to Nika and sit down "What's wrong" I speak to break the silence not knowing if she wants to be bothered "I don't know"
a tear rolls from her eye that I quickly wipe away "You and Paige will make up don't cry, don't let it mess up your game we need you out there at your best and you can't be if you're worried about this"
"You right for once, you would do good as team manager" she softly says "Aw was that a compliment from the princess" She rolls her eyes quickly feeling better just from that interaction
We arrive at the hotel and everyone gets ready for the game me included I throw on this

Something nice and simple to take pictures in, and I head to the lobby to wait for the girls
Nika comes down, and the rest of the girls slowly trickle in one by one eventually everyone's there so we get on the bus and drive to the stadium
the game starts and I'm sitting in my usual spot on the bench taking photos of the girls playing, fiddling with my settings every once in a while until I hear Geno calling me over to him
"Listen you're not the team manager but I need you to act like it right now, if nika gets one more foul she's ejected from this game and we can't afford that" I nod my head and he subs her out so me and her can talk
when she gets taken out Nika is heated cussing in Croatian to herself when she eventually sits next to me because she has to to go back in
"What's the problem?" She rolls her eyes "These girls play so damn aggressively then when I do it is a foul" I shake my head "Aren't you defensive player of the year? Why is this getting to you so much" She looks at me confused "I don't know I don't want to talk to you" I hold back from yelling at her "If you want to go back in the fucking game you will talk to me" she shakes her head no
"Take your jersey off then get off the bench and go back to Connecticut, I'm not going to keep fucking playing with you get your head in the game your too good to be letting some 5'5 girl make you mad" I pat her thighs and tell Geno she's ready
Nika goes back into the game and shows out, hitting three-pointers, crazy rebounds, and blocks
Geno is singing my praises badly "What'd you say to her, Andy?" He asks when the game finally ends "I told her to go home and wait for us if she was going to play like shit" he laughs and tells me to sit on the bus
I sit next to Nika on the bus and she softly smiles "Thank you for the talk in the game, I need the toughness sometimes" I nod "No problem princess, how about when we get back you put on some of the cute clothes I bought you and we go to dinner" she looks shocked but says "okay" I got my date with my girl that's all I really care about
