"who?" atsumu demanded, practically ripping the apartment door off its hinges to reveal y/n standing in front of the kitchen island.

suna was standing next to her, looking like someone had threatened to kill his entire family and then fed him week old elephant shit.

osamu peeked in through the doorway behind atsumu, his expression matching suna's.

"we didn't know till like 5 minutes ago, swear," osamu pinched his adam's apple and suna furiously nodded as y/n and atsumu groaned in sync.

all y/n had requested of her good friend suna was to find her an apartment to stay in. it was a very simple task in theory, of course he would fuck that up. and apparently so would osamu because atsumu was seething.

"i asked if you knew some apartment that i could move into," he began calmly, so calmly y/n could almost make out a vein popping in his forehead.

"what i didn't ask was for you to arrange a permanent sleepover with her," he pointed a finger at y/n with an exaggeratedly disgusted expression. "could've at least picked someone hot," he added, deliberately loud and glanced at her to make sure she heard.

y/n wasn't impressed in the least, "yeah like you're such an incredibly handsome chick magnet individual."

osamu sighed, "can you two chill, it was three years ago-"

"for the first time in your life, you're right about something," atsumu sneered at y/n, completely ignoring his brother.

"samu's not wrong you know, you'll have to move on at some point, you can't hold your stupid grudge all the way into adulthood," suna raised an eyebrow.

"leave," y/n pointed at the door, looking straight at atsumu.

osamu and suna looked at each other and sighed, sensing that maybe their little scheme might backfire. just maybe.

atsumu and y/n had been sworn rivals all throughout highschool, well since the end of their first year to be specific. and after that, they found themselves competing against each other in every possible way. they were both setters for their respective teams, in the same class, got invited to the same youth camp, you name it.

over time, their hatred grew into outright abhorrence, escalating to the point where they couldn't even stand the sight of each other.

and just when y/n thought she'd finally gotten rid of him in college, here he was, barging into her apartment and keeping his crusty bags on her carpet, calling it all his. to add insult to the injury, he had entered with his outside shoes on like a shameless degenerate.

"he can't leave," osamu stepped in front of the door in a T pose.

"yeah we signed a lease, ya'll stuck with each other for a good year," suna shrugged.

"and it's non refundable so if you wanna pay for absolutely fucking nothing, you're free to call it off," osamu continued.

"what madness possessed you to-" y/n narrowed her eyes at him and her jaw dropped just slightly in stark realisation, "wait."

atsumu's expression changed to mirror hers as took the words right out of her mouth, "you both signed the same lease, so you knew full well she'd be here," he looked at his brother accusingly.

nobody spoke for a while, letting the situation sink in.

suna and osamu shared a glance that said 'busted' and y/n rubbed her temples in exasperation. atsumu was glaring daggers at the two boys, ready to deck them both. why were they so fucking dumb?
