They managed to be convincing despite the fact people started to believe the paradox was going on. Now they just had to explain the giant killer bear for people to want them locked away to 'get help' as it was called. This time, though, Socks was in the same room with Alyix and Lillith.

"So, how long do you two normally have to wait before the whole portal thing happens?" Socks questions.

"Typically a few months, but it could be faster now that we've gotten you here with us." Lillith responds quietly. "But it could also take longer since we got here a little faster, at least seemingly so anyways."

"We could've also gotten here slower with the fact of the time distortion starting to affect the physical dimensions of places. It's also started to affect the village. Last time it was closer to a medieval city, now it looks more like a primitive village in comparison, but somehow this building isn't affected by it yet." Alyix rambles on for a couple of minutes.

"Oh, I see... that complicates any calculations we could do to try to figure out when we'd be forced to restart again because of that portal, then, doesn't it?" Socks questions calmly.

"How can you be so calm at a time like this, Socks?" Socks just shrugs at Alyix's question to him and  then decides to lay down on his bunk and go to sleep for the night. It had been a long day, after all.

The next morning, they all woke up in Elix's room. They hadn't even seen when the whole portal thing had even happened. "What the heck?" Socks questions in a confused tone. "Is that normal Alyix?"

"It's about as normal as an apple tree growing a human fetus, Socks." Alyix responds dryly.

The floor  was a bit cracked up, like someone had told it a good joke, and when they got up from the oversized bed, it creaked like it'd fall out from under the four of them. It didn't, luckily. "I don't remember you..." Elix said this while looking at Socks.

"Oh, I'm Perio, but they call me Socks." He responds gently to Elix.

"Why do they call you Socks?" Elix questions.

"I wear wacky socks constantly, look." Socks rolled up his pants leg to show the socks he was wearing, which were glittery with big stars.

Elix chuckled slightly as he saw the cool yet wacky socks. "I see." He responded gently. "Did you get your socks before everything started looping?"

"I don't remember... it's been too disorienting to remember when things happened outside of the loop. I don't even remember my parents anymore." Socks explained quietly.

Elix looks concerned, and Lillith speaks up, "You remembered last time around, Socks..." Socks pauses in fear. He doesn't even remember if he had remembered before, but before he can respond, things start to crack and spin around them. They all felt a force throw them backwards, and then everything went black. However, with Socks, his body was forced through a different plane of existence than the others. He was forced through the astral plane.
