Days had passed and Donnie was in Lee's room when he saw her diary he knew he shouldn't snoop but on the page in bold letters it has I wanna die so Donnie had to he grabbed the book to take back to his room

Donnie spent the rest of the day reading the diary it started light hearted then went to leadership then a while ago it shifted starting with an entry that said "I hear splinter say he 'hates those damn fags that are running the world now why do we need a pride month and not a straight month' I was confused what was he talking about what was a fag I stole Donnie's laptop and turns out fag is a slur for people who aren't into the opposite sex and identify as the sex they were born as ... You can identify as something else"

Then again another "I did more research some people go from being a man to a woman and vice versa but some people sometimes switch between what makes them comfortable that's call gender fluid and some people stay as neither that's called non-binary it's cool to think of people out there who express themselves so freely I wonder what it would be like"

Another "I asked splinter and he yelled at me saying no fag would love under his roof not even a fag supporter so I never asked him again what do you think he would do if I told him I like men they fascinate me but I also like women I'm so confused and scared"

Something worse "I feel unheard I'm the leader but I feel like I can't talk to anyone what if my siblings believe the same as splinter and they don't want me anymore I'm supposed to protect them but I'm so tired I just wanna be myself"

And the last entry "splinter won't talk to me he also isn't making me food anymore he says I can get my own through scavenging like the freak I am such bold words coming from a rat that's bullshit sometimes I think he'd like me better dead maybe I'll do that make both of us happy I don't live with him and he doesn't have a fag under his roof I swear sometimes I JUST WANNA DIE" blood stains the page and Donnie can't help but cry his sister was struggling and he didn't know what to do.
