Devyn

She wasnt kidding when she said she needed to get in the gym. With her new hobby, she couldn't be weak physically.

Devyn stepped into the bustling gym, the sounds of clanking weights and energetic chatter filling the air around her.

Taking a deep breath, she made her way to the front desk to sign up for her membership, excitement bubbling within her at the prospect of embarking on her fitness journey.

After completing the necessary paperwork, Devyn was paired with a personal trainer, a tall and imposing figure with a friendly smile and an air of confidence.

"Wassup, I'm Marcus," the trainer said, extending his hand in greeting.

"Welcome to the gym. I'll be your personal trainer."

Devyn returned his smile, feeling anticipation. "Nice to meet you, Marcus," she replied, shaking his hand firmly.

As they began their first session together, Marcus wasted no time in putting Devyn through her paces, guiding her through a series of exercises designed to target her specific fitness goals.

With each passing moment, Devyn found herself pushing harder, digging deeper than she ever thought possible as Marcus encouraged her every step of the way.

"You're doing great, Devyn," he said, his voice filled with genuine encouragement. "Keep pushing, you've got this."

And push she did, her muscles burning with exertion as she pushed herself to her limits under Marcus's watchful eye.

As the session drew to a close, Devyn couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment wash over her.

Despite the initial nerves and apprehension, she had pushed through and emerged stronger on the other side.

"Thanks, Marcus," she said, smiling gratefully at her trainer. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Marcus returned her smile, his eyes twinkling with pride. "Anytime, Devyn," he replied. "I'll see you at our next session."

And with that, Devyn left the gym feeling exhilarated.

As the days turned into weeks, Devyn found herself eagerly anticipating each session with Marcus, her personal trainer at the gym.

What had started as a professional relationship had slowly begun to evolve into something more – a deepening connection that left her heart fluttering with every smile and encouraging word he offered.

With each passing session, Devyn found herself drawn to Marcus in ways she couldn't quite explain.
His confidence, his kindness, his unwavering support – it all combined to create a magnetic pull that she couldn't resist.

As they worked out together, Devyn found herself stealing glances at Marcus when he wasn't looking, admiring the way his muscles flexed with each movement, the way his eyes lit up with passion.

"You know, Devyn, I have to say, you're one of the most dedicated clients I've ever had," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration.

Blushing at his words, Devyn felt a surge of warmth spreading through her chest. "Thanks, Marcus," she replied, unable to hide the smile that spread across her face.

Gotta be strong enough to handle these men she thought to herself.

As Devyn finished her workout for the day, wiping the sweat from her brow, Marcus approached her

"Aye look," he said, his voice casual. "A few of us are planning to grab some food and hang out after work. You think you like would to join us?"

Devyn's heart skipped a beat at the invitation, her cheeks flushing with a mixture of nerves and excitement.

She had been hoping for an opportunity to spend more time with Marcus outside of the gym, and this seemed like the perfect chance.

"I'd love to," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady despite the fluttering sensation in her stomach.

Later that night Devyn is picked up by Marcus and they head to the restaurant.

Devyn sat next to Marcus, surrounded by his friends at the restaurant, she took a deep breath to steady her nerves.

"Hey y'all," she said, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity. "I'm Devyn. It's really great to meet all of you."

Marcus smiled at her.
"Devyn, this is Alex, Faye, and Jason," he said, gesturing to each of his friends.

As Devyn continued to chat with Marcus and his friends, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to Jason than met the eye. His demeanor was tough and guarded,

As the group talked and got familiar with Devyn, Jason casually mentioned something that caught her off guard.

"Yeah, it's been a busy week at the office," Jason said, his voice filled with seriousness. "Dealing with a few tough cases."

Devyn's eyes widened in surprise at his words. "Wait, you're a police officer?" she asked, unable to hide the surprise in her voice.

Jason nodded, his expression unreadable. "Yup. Been on the force for a few years now."

A wave of nervousness washed over her. Suddenly, the tough exterior he projected seemed to take on new meaning.

The realization that she had been getting to know a police officer filled her with a sense of unease. What if he discovered her.

Despite her growing anxiety, Devyn tried to remain composed.

She wanted to leave early.

"Hey Marcus," she said, her voice tinged with regret. "I hate to do this, but I actually have to leave a little earlier than I planned. Something came up."

Marcus looked at her with concern, his brow furrowing in confusion. "Is everything okay?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.

Devyn nodded, forcing a smile. "Yeah, everything's fine. I just remembered that I have some things I need to take care of at home."

Marcus nodded in understanding, his expression sympathetic. "Of course, let me take you home"

"No, no, no, its fine my dad is already outside waiting for me" Devyn said to him quickly, hoping he'll stay seated.

Devyn said her goodbyes and made her way out of the restaurant walking into the busy parking lot that was packed due to a local football game.

She knew that she couldn't risk staying any longer, especially with Jason – not with the weight of her secrets threatening to consume her. She continued to walk to the neighboring restaurant getting ready to message her dad.

She then sees a car slowly riding behind her.

Devyn turned around and approached the car on the passenger side.

"Heyyy uber for Lexi?" She purposely slurred her words with a big smile on her face. The older gentleman in the car returned the smile, showcasing his yellow teeth.

"Yes this is the uber for Lexi" The man said obviously lying, as Devyn climbed into the passenger seat.
