Oh No! Our beloved hero is caught in the Villians cave!
Who will save them?!
Perhaps their trusty side-kick?
No.
The side-kick left because a new, better hero came to the city.
No worries! The hero will surely think of... someway... to get out
Many tries later and our hero is safe!
But their side-kick is still assisting the new hero in town.
The hero's family and friends moved on because the hero was in the cave for so long.
The hero does their best to rebuild their life.
But without anyone to notice the hero's presence, they become lonely.
Then, they remember the villian.
The only one who realized the hero existed now.
The hero goes back to the villians cave.
The hero views the torture as attention.
The hero sees the abuse as acknowledgement.
And even though it hurts. the hero has someone.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And isn't that all that really matters?
That we have someone, whether they're good for us or not?
NO.
This peom is about returning to a bad relationship.
The hero's sidekick left them, so the hero found the villian. The hero and the villian resemble an abusive relationship. The hero's friends and family gave up hope on the hero because the hero wouldn't leave the villian, aka the relationship.
I didn't use any gender specific pronouns, because men, women, and everything in between can be toxic.
If you are in a bad relationship, tell someone. It can be hard to leave beause of possible threats and worries the person will hurt themself if you leave. But just bevause you have someone you love, does not mean that person is good for you.
Comment whatever you want as long as it's not hateful, this is a safe plae <3
