The virus

Hello my dear friend

As the ninja kept walking they finally reached their destination, the mall. They came here in hope of finding anyone but the place was dead silent once they opened the doors.

Nya felt odd about this place but Jay told her it was fine since most of the zombies are around the city and not the mall. They went to different stores looking for anyone but with no hope.

"You know, since now we are here..we could have some fun." Cole said talking to the rest. "Yeah!! Let's have a race!" Jay said in excitement. They all agreed except Kai who still sad due to the fact that Lloyd was gone.

Kai sat down on one of the bench's while the others had their race. Kai was overwhelmed with emotions, he felt anger, sadness, hopeless, and disappointment with himself. He promised to look after Lloyd but he didn't.

Nya walked over to her brother and threw her arm around him giving a tight hug. "Don't worry Kai, we'll.. will overcome.. but for now we need to stay strong." Nya said. Kai turned around and looked at his sister. "Yeah alright..." Kai replied.

But then he saw the others running saying they heard a noise, soon they all heard a loud noise of a zombie approaching them quickly.

It was a level 4 zombie. The worst kind of zombie. The zombie had almost no face and its legs were rotting away. Zane slowly and quietly loaded his gun ready to shot just in case it attacks. We all slowly backing away making sure it doesn't hear us.

The zombie smelled the air. It knows we're here. It ran towards the ninja about to attack but then something else attacked it. A figure, all Kai could see was blonde hair. He almost gagged at the sight of this thing eating the zombie.

The zombie was trying to put up a fight but soon stopped moving. The figure continued to eat the zombies neck and shoulder before stopping and vomiting and continuing to eat the zombie.

Kai soon noticed the figure was about Lloyd's size, same hair, same clothes he last saw him in. But it couldn't, he's dead. The figure turned around with blood on its face. Soon Kai's heart stopped, it was Lloyd.

"Kai...?" Lloyd said weakly and slowly getting up walking toward Kai. Lloyd wanted to hug Kai but saw the fear in his eyes. He looked at Lloyd like he was a monster. Maybe he was. Maybe he was a  monster in his own story. Kai may view Lloyd as a monster but Lloyd will always view Kai as his older brother.

Lloyd began to back away. "I..I'm sorry.. l-look... I-i don't even know why.. but I did so... please... I'm sorry..." Kai slowly realized that Lloyd was there and he was about to leave again. No. Not again. I'm not letting him go again.

Lloyd began to run away but Kai was faster and grabbed Lloyd's hand and pulled him into a hug. Lloyd tried to pull him off but couldn't. Each time Lloyd struggled to pull away Kai would hug tighter. "K-Kai please.. let me go.." Lloyd manage to say.

"Never." Kai said. The other ninja soon came over and hugged Lloyd feeling relieved he's alive. Lloyd was confused on why they didn't thought he was a monster. "So uhh.. if your new diet zombies now?" Jay said but got punched in the stomach by Nya.

"I don't know yet but I-I.." Lloyd then fainted into Kai arms and was laid onto the ground. Zane scanned Lloyd to see he hasn't eaten in days except for zombies, has many scars and bruises around his body especially his arm. Odd.

Kai picked him up feeling happy his baby brother is safe and alive. Lloyd slept in Kai's arm the entire night while Nya slept with Jay and Cole and Zane huddled next to each other. All have finally slept in a closed store dreaming the night away.
