Seokmin was focused on his book when he heard some movements in the attic.

Attic, the most forbidden place in this two and a half storey building. Jeonghan believes that the attic is haunted, and hence it is sealed and nobody goes there. And by nobody, it really means nobody. No one is even allowed to talk about the existence of attic. It was weird to feel some kind of movement from there. Could it be mice? It was possible but those movements seem a bit too heavy for them to be couple of mice.

Seokmin ignored it and focused back on his book but not for long. Curiosity crawled on his head like a worm and he finally decided he will check it for himself. Jeonghan was gone for his afternoon shift. Soobin rarely came in clinic, only if he needed something from Jeonghan or Seokmin. Seokmin personally did not believe in ghosts or spirits, at least not in the daylight.

He took slow and careful steps towards the attic. Is he scared? No. Maybe a little bit, but Seokmin is still willing to be that dumb character of every other horror movies. As he reached to the door he was surprised, the double lock that Jeonghan used to put on that abysmal of room was broken and lying on the floor. Someone broke through the door and that someone cannot be either of the three people that frequents in that building.

Seokmin had his doubts but he still decided to go inside. Dumb decision obviously but he didn't had anything much better to do. He slowly pushed the door open. The creaking of that door was too much annoying, it definitely needs some oiling. That was the only thing he managed to think of before a hand came out of nowhere and choked him. The room was poorly illuminated so he failed to see the presence of someone in the room to be so close.

Seokmin was struggling, he was tapping the hand urging whoever it was to let go of his neck. Slowly the shadow lurking in the darkness came closer to his body and he was finally able to give that shadow an identity. It was the stranger from yesterday, he looked fierce, danger floating in his eyes. Seokmin don't know if it's because of his blurred vision caused by the lack of oxygen supply in brain or reality but he saw pure murderous intention in those eyes.

Seokmin still tried to calm down the stranger, convince him to let go his neck with as soft voice as possible. It would be a miracle if he could even utter any words from his mouth considering how forcibly his neck was being grabbed.

The stranger let go of him eventually. He seemed hesitant and still on his guard but he let go of his hands from Seokmin's neck. Seokmin was on ground now aggressively coughing and trying to catch any breaths he possibly could.

Between violent coughs Seokmin spoke in broken words, "Wow,... I... I... I saved you and... And this is how you repay me?" The stranger didn't say anything he just kept on staring at Seokmin with curiosity.

It took Seokmin good few minutes to get a bit better. His breath slowly coming back to normal pace. The Stranger was still mum, standing still beside Seokmin like he is some kind of statue. Now Seokmin was furious, he has been worried about this nameless stranger since yesterday. His background is completely unknown and he looked shady yet Seokmin took care of him, worried about him so much when he disappeared without any trace at all and now he had the audacity to attack Seokmin. Fine bring it on, Seokmin is ready to go head on with him. Seokmin might look like nothing but skeleton covered with skin but he had the strength and most importantly he had the spirit.

Seokmin faced towards the stranger with an intention to shout the hell out of him. He even increased his steps forward but before he could utter a single word the stranger's heavy body fell into his arms once again. Everything fell back into silence, stranger's hold on his neck was so strong Seokmin forgot for a while that he was still a patient with multiple wounds all over his body. He was weak and despite the anger still lingering in Seokmin's mind he still considered stranger's action to be a mere reflex taking place in the face of threat against him.
