•I will manage to look good•
|KABIR|
" I'm tired of being independent. I want to get married and depend on my husband." Placing her bag aside on the table, she sat down on the couch throwing her head back.
It was already six when she came back from office.Filling up a glass of water, I forwarded it to her and she gulped it in one go. " I am serious this time, I want to get married. I am tired carrying all the responsibilities. I want to be dependent now." She said looking at me. I sat beside her.
She tends to speak like this when she's on her period. " I am ready let's get married." I replied to which she rolled her eyes.
" As in now?Propose krne ka tarika thoda casual hai." She chuckled." I have a surprise for you." I told her to which she got excited.
" First tell me are you feeling better?" She touched my forehead with her fingers. " I am fine, wait for a second." I went inside kitchen.I noticed her mood wasn't great during our call, so I decided to cook her favorite meal, red sauce pasta. Serving it in a plate I went back to her.
"Oh my god, I was really craving this. I love you for making it," she said as she took the plate from my hand and sat back.
And I love you for coming in my life.
The matching bracelet she gifted me had her name's initial on it. I realised this on the day when that accident happened. For confirming it I looked at the bracelet she was wearing. It had my name's initial.
I know she hesitates a lot. Her overthinking never let her do something on first instance but she didn't think about her when she stepped ahead for me and passed through media to reach me.
The surgery was a daunting experience, but Drishti's constant care and attention transformed it into a journey of love and healing. It's been a month to that.
Her dedication to my recovery touched me deeply, igniting a flame of admiration and affection within me. With each passing day, as she tended to my needs with such grace and kindness, I couldn't help but marvel at her selflessness and generosity.
In those moments of vulnerability, her presence became my anchor, and I realized that I had fallen even more deeply in love with her, grateful for her unwavering support and devotion.
I always admired her presence but this incident has made me sure that she is the one and the woman in my life deserves all the appreciation for being herself.
For the past month, she has been coming to my house every day after work and staying late into the night just to make sure I'm taking my medication. She even enlisted her new best friend, Katty, to help keep an eye on me. Kartik became katty but Kabir is Kabir.
" It's so tasty, leave acting and start cooking." Her words broke my chain of thoughts.
" You have to taste it, you won't deny me, right?" She raised her eyebrows making a pout.I ate that and she smiled.
" So what about your marriage plan?" I asked. " No, I was just irritated. I have no plan to get married till I get my own home and get settled." She replied. See, this is how she changes her mood." You already own a flat." I said and she narrowed her eyes.
" Le? That flat is not mine. It's given to me by my company. Job gayi Ghar gya." She told me. This never crossed my mind even." I will get married in 3-4 years." She stood up and I went behind her. " That's quite late, your mom will not let you stay unmarried." I said and she kind of glared at me.
