George slowly opened his eyes and stretched in his uncomfortable position, but then he remembered that he and Clay had fallen asleep on the couch last night after watching movies.

When he could see normally, he smelled a beautiful smell from the kitchen and decided to check what was going on. When he was in the kitchen, he saw Clay at the stove, he quietly walked up to him and hugged him from behind.

The blond-haired boy jumped slightly when he felt someone hug him, so he turned his head back.
-George, I got scared -he laughed lightly.
- sorry.. - he replied.
-How was your sleep?- Clay asked, turning to George.
- it could have been better, but it's okay - the brunette smiled.
- I wanted to arrange you somehow, but I was afraid I would wake you up - he announced.
- it doesn't matter - he said with a smile.
Clay smiled back immediately afterwards.
- Go sit down at the table, breakfast will be ready soon - he announced.

George moved towards the table, immediately sitting down in the chair. After just 5 minutes, George and Clay were eating their breakfast and talking pleasantly.

After a short time, when they finished eating, they put the dishes in the dishwasher and went to the living room. They sat like that for a while until Clay spoke up.
- Hey, how about we go to the ice rink? - He asked.
- It's not even a bad idea, I can teach you, because last time you kept messing up - he laughed lightly.

George loved skating, when he was younger he and his mother would go ice skating whenever they had time, because his mother went to competitions when she was younger so she was amazing at it. Now, unfortunately, they don't ride together after Georg moves out.

- hahaha, you're right, it's time - he laughed.

After a while they were leaving the house to spend time together, the truth was that Clay hadn't told George the whole truth when he said why he was visiting him. Clay soon had to fly out of the country for a month because his family wanted him to finally visit them, but because Clay felt guilty after not telling George the truth, he decided to tell him at the ice rink.

Not long after that they finally arrived at the rink, they rented some skates and went to the rink, they were having a lot of fun even though Clay kept crashing almost all the time, George taught him at least a little bit how to skate, finally the time came when Clay decided to tell George the truth, what he was supposed to say a long time ago.

They rode hand in hand and Clay felt a little nervous, he didn't know how George would react, but he finally spoke.
-..Hey..George...- he said, slightly uncertain.
-Yes?..- replied George, still smiling.
-..There's one thing i should have told you a long time ago...and I think it's time...- he said.
The smile disappeared from George's face when he saw Clay's slightly sad face.
-..what's going on?...- he asked worriedly.
-....I know that...we haven't had a good relationship lately...and that, like me, you would like to fix it...but...- he took a breath.-I have to leave the country for a month soon...my family would like to finally see me in person... but... I promise I will call you every day...-he said sadly.

George looked at his face for a moment as they stopped, George was overcome with sadness, he didn't want to be alone again, but he understood that his family wanted to see him.
-...it doesn't matter...it's important to have contact with your family...- he said, trying to smile.
-..are you sure?..- asked the taller one.
-..yes...- he replied, smiling sadly.

Clay hugged George and he hugged him back, he told himself that it was only a month, but in reality it was a long time for him, even though, as Clay said, he would call him, George would still miss him, he was glad that he had contact with him again and he felt better, but the fact that Clay was leaving for a month depressed him.

-...I want to go home...I'm cold...-said George, not looking at Clay, and then drove towards the exit.
Clay didn't believe George that he was just cold, he knew he had spoiled his mood a bit, but he couldn't stand it anymore without telling him the truth, now the most important thing for him was to spend as much time with him as possible before he flew out.

A short time later they were at Georg's house and they decided to watch a movie again.
Maybe 20 minutes into the movie when George spoke up.
-..Clay?..- he asked, turning his head towards his blond haired friend.
-Yes, George?...- he replied, looking at him too.
-..I have a question..how long until you leave?...- asked the brunette.
-...I've already bought a ticket, so...next week...- he replied, looking at the TV screen again.
-..mhm..-he muttered slightly sadly.

Clay looked at him again and smiled slightly.
-But I promise...that I will try to spend the whole week with you as best as I can, and then...every morning I will write you good morning...and every evening before I go to sleep, goodnight...-he smiled as he said it.
George looked at him, then smiled.
-..Thank you..- said George.
-..No problem...hug?...- he asked, spreading his arms.
-..Of course..- replied the brunet, and then hugged him tightly.
-..I'm glad you're my friend..- Clay said.

'Friend', yes, George halfway wanted this word to turn into something else.
For some time George had noticed that his feelings towards Clay were changing, but he wasn't sure if he loved him but not as a friend, sometimes he thought he was just infatuated and that it would pass, George knew that his friend wasn't he has the same feelings for him, but loves him as a friend.
He wasn't even sure what his green-eyed friend's sexuaity was, he never asked him, he didn't have a reason, and it was even stupid for him to ask so that Clay wouldn't think anything bad about him.

------------------------

A few days passed, Clay had a flight tomorrow morning.
It was 2pm, George had just been at Clay's house, helping him pack so he could get there on time, it was a whole month after all, so there was a lot to pack. Unfortunately, Sapnap wasn't with them, he was at Karl's house, but he promised that they would come with him to say goodbye.
They were already packing the last suitcase, Clay was choosing clothes and George was packing them neatly, folding and arranging everything to fit.
By the time they finished, it was already late.

-Thank you again George for helping me pack, it would have taken me forever," he chuckled, patting him on the shoulder.
-hahaha...that's what friends are for...-he replied, smiling at him, unfortunately he had to look up because he was shorter than him.
-...it's already late...maybe you want to stay the night?...I could give you a T-shirt or something...- asked the unsure blonde.
-... sure... thanks... - he replied, smiling more.

Before they went to bed, they watched a movie and ate some dinner.
And that's how the whole evening passed.
