School finished. Sagong and Hei-Ryung still continued to ignore each other, and everyone went home.
Sagong walked home by himself, making sure to be home on time. Although someone disrupted this. While he was walking down an alley to get to his house, he noticed a couple of guys older than him beating up a kid from his school. He was just going to take no notice and walk past, but a feeling of guilt waved over him. *Oh, for goodness sake*
Sagong then grabbed one of the guys by the shoulder." Hey! What do you think you're doing!" Sagong punches the guys, which grabs the attention of the other dude. He runs up to Sagong and tries to swing at him. Although his efforts are worthless, Sagong was a taekwando master he got his black belt just a couple of years before and has kept it up. After beating up the guys, he goes to help the kid. When suddenly he looks down to see Hei-Ryung. His face becomes shocked as the kid who was just being sarcastic to him and his friends earlier was the one being beaten up.
"It's you?!" Sagong says in an annoyed voice." I should have just left you to get beaten up. Must have been that mouth of yours." Sagong looks at Hei-Ryung from the corner of his eye.
*He's barely moving* Sagong rolls his eyes and grabs his arm to put over his shoulder. "You know you should be thanking me." Hei-Ryung looks at him, barely even able to walk, and they go outside of the alley."So, where do you live?" Sagong says. "Just take my phone and call my aunt, then you can leave me here," Hei-Ryung says in a breathless voice. Sagong looks at him confused,"How can I just leave you here? I'll call your aunt and wait till she gets here. I don't want those guys coming back to beat you again while I'm not here." Hei-Ryung looks annoyed, but they both make it to a bench and sit down.
-They called Hei-Ryung's aunt-
" You know you don't have to stay. I think you beat them up enough so they can't even walk, " he says, hoping to persuade Sagong to move." I'm not budging Hei-Ryung, so you may as well just stop trying." Sagong says, looking into the distance while waiting. Hei-Ryung sighs, but suddenly, Sagong gets up. " I'll be right back. Stay here." He then runs off without even an explanation.
Although Hei-Ryung wanted Sagong to leave, he became scared thinking about those guys coming back.
10 minutes go by, and there is no sign of Sagong or his aunt.
Suddenly, a panting man runs up to him and hands him a drink. It was Sagong. "Here. I got you some plasters as well. I couldn't find much else." Hei-Ryung was confused,
* Why the hell is he being so nice to me?
"Oh, thanks," Hei-Ryung says while opening the drink. "Has your aunt not showed up yet," Sagong asks. "No, I'm still waiting." Hei-Ryung says while trying to see if his aunt messaged him to say she wasn't coming. Nothing.Sagong then grabs Hei-Ryung's face and gets a plaster. Hei-Ryung looks confused and pushes his hand off. Sagong looks at him,"Just give me a second," Sagong says while carefully putting the plaster on Hei-Ryung's cheek."There see, all better," Sagong says while giving Hei-Ryung a charming smile."Alright, alright, that's enough. You can go now," Hei-Ryung says after again, pushing his hand off his face, once again.
"Are you mad? I was only trying to help. I even beat up those guys for you, and this is your way of thanking me? Just pushing me away?"Sagong said in a rather annoyed tone. Hei-Ryung looked at Sagong with guilt, seeing that he actually did seem to want to help,"I'm sorry, it's just you were so rude to me before. I'm not really in the mood to get close with you. "
Sagong looks at Hei-Ryung in confusion, then starts to chuckle, "Don't worry, I'm not trying to get close to you. I just can't see someone getting beat up and running away from it. By the time I got to you, you were almost dead."Hei-Ryung looks at Sagong in annoyance, thinking he may have changed, but this thought gets interrupted by the sound of someone's feet. "Oh my goodness, I'm sorry it took me so long to get here, Ryung. There was so much traffic." The elder woman says while panting. "It's alright, auntie," Hei-Ryung says but quickly gets interrupted by his aunt.
"Oh, I see you had someone to keep you company. It's alright that I came late then." His aunt says while raising her eyebrows at Hei-Ryung continuously."Oh my God, auntie, it's not like that he is one of my-" Hei-Ryung tries to justify Sagong and his relationship, but Sagong buts in."Friends, we're friends," Sagong says while giving Hei-Ryung's aunt a huge, innocent smile. Hei-Ryung turns to Sagong, showing him a confused expression.
*Did he just say we were friends?*"Anyways, we had better get going Ryung. Your mother is worried sick after what you told me on the phone." His aunt proclaims while gently helping him get up. "Thank you again for helping him. You sure are a good friend!"You're welcome!" Sagong says as he watches Hei-Ryung and his aunt slowly drive off.
* What did I just call him?*
