Aniyah needed to learn how to say no.

She had half a mind to go to Target and buy the big red button she saw that yells "No!" every time you pushed it.

Instead of spending her Saturday morning, treating herself to brunch and bottomless mimosas, she found herself sitting in a white studio makeshift dressing room, with various other women around her.

She didn't have a single clue what was going on.

She just knew she wouldn't be who knows where if she didn't say yes to her best friend Tyeler. As far a Aniyah knew, Tyeler was cast to appear in this YouTube video shoot.

Unfortunately, Tye had woken up sick. She knew she wouldn't be making the shoot and knew she'd need a replacement. With enough begging, and promising to buy Aniyah whatever her heart desired, Tyeler got Aniyah to agree to be her replacement.

Tyeler, being too caught up in giving the rundown of the situation to the person who casted all of the participants, only gave Aniyah the address to and time for the video shoot, leaving out any details of what would be taking place and who the YouTube video was for.

All of the women in the room chatted amongst themselves, occupying time as they waited for recording to start.

Glancing to her left, Aniyah saw a pretty brownskin woman scrolling on her phone. "Excuse me."

Hearing her voice, the girl looked up and smiled over to Aniyah.

"Sorry," Aniyah apologized "Uh, do you know what this video is gonna be about? I'm here for my best friend and didn't get the details."

"Oh girl you're good! You ever seen the YouTube channel CUT?" When Aniyah nodded, the girl continued "Kay so, y'know how they do those Button videos where people basically speed date and if they ain't vibing, someone can press the button and the person that didn't press it, goes and another comes in. This is basically gonna be a ghetto version of that."

Aniyah's eyebrows raised "Ghetto? Oh okay, thank you."

"No problem girl! You so pretty."

Aniyah smiled, returning the compliment before the video crew came into the room letting the girls know shooting was about to start.

"Alright ladies, welcome. Thank y'all for coming out today. My name's Walid, if you have any questions. We're about to get started with the first girl."

Aniyah looked at Walid. He looked East African, possibly Ethiopian. She thought he was kinda cute. He had pretty teeth too.

"The first girl up is Aniyah."
