King Issei Isagi ruled the Ozenem Kingdom. Issei was the model of a perfect ruler. He was beloved by his family and subjects alike for being a fair ruler who also devoted himself to his roles as husband and father. The people of Ozenem enjoyed a time of great peace and many thanks to his wise guidance.

The difficulties faced by the monarchy, however, increased in relation to its population. The land and resources within Ozenem's limits were starting to feel the strain of the increasing number of residents. As the population expanded the once-abundant fields and farms became unsustainable to support it. It became crystal clear to Issei that they had to expand their kingdom's boundaries if they wanted to ensure its survival.

There would be increased food supplies and better agricultural opportunities as a result of this growth, which was also essential for housing the expanding population.with this in mind Issei was faced with another issue.

Across the borders lay the Rudzi Kingdom, governed by King Zaire (l/n). Renowned for his combat abilities and strategic intelligence, King Zaire also had his sights set on the lush grasslands valued by Issei. His kingdom's aspirations for the same territories formed a potential threat of confrontation. To avert additional hardship Issei took the initiative to schedule a meeting to discuss the disputed territory.

King Zaire's POV:

Zaire sat in his grand chambers, his brow furrowed in contemplation as he read the letter from King Issei. His wife, Queen Iris, observed him closely, her concern evident in her eyes. "What troubles you, my king?" taking a deep sigh before looking at her, "Issei proposes a meeting to discuss the disputed territory. Does he not realise the value of these lands to Rudzi?"

"Perhaps he is seeking a peaceful resolution, Zaire. War would only bring suffering to our people and theirs."

"Peace?" Raised an eyebrow, "Issei must understand that these lands are crucial for our kingdom's prosperity and security. Yet he challenges our claim."

"Perhaps this meeting is an opportunity, my love. A chance to find common ground and avoid conflict."

Considering her words, the weight of his kingdom's future is heavy on his shoulders. He knew the importance of diplomacy, yet he could not ignore the strategic advantage these lands would provide to Rudzi.

"Very well, Iris. I will attend this meeting. But I will not yield our rightful claim easily. Issei must understand the consequences if he persists in challenging us."

"Trust in your wisdom, my king. I believe you will find a solution that serves both our kingdom and his."

With a nod, King Zaire made his decision. He would meet with King Issei, sending a letter back as confirmation of the meeting.

One week later, the scheduled date for the meeting between King Issei Isagi of Ozenem and King Zaire of Rudzi arrived.

In the centre of neutral ground, a clearing situated amidst old trees and rolling hills, King Issei's escort assembled early, ensuring everything was prepared for the arrival of their guests from Rudzi. Banners of Ozenem flapped gracefully in the breeze, suggesting preparedness for formal interaction.

As the sun ascended higher in the sky, a dust cloud formed on the horizon, signalling the approach of King Zaire and his troops from Rudzi. A quiet came over the arrangement as the two kings approached each other with measured steps, their features serious yet calm.

"Welcome, King Zaire. I am grateful that you have honoured my invitation."

"Thank you, King Issei. The journey was swift. I trust we can engage in productive dialogue today."

"Shall we begin?" issei said while gesturing his hand toward the empty seat access from him as he sat down himself, shortly after Zaire sat down himself.

Issei cleared his throat "King Zaire, I understand the importance of these lands to Rudzi. However, Ozenem's future depends on securing resources for our growing population."

"And Rudzi cannot afford to relinquish these lands, King Issei. Our people rely on them for their livelihoods and protection." Zaire replied sitting back while resting his head on his hand

As tensions simmered and the stalemate persisted, a sudden commotion broke the uneasy silence. A scout from the ozenem kingdom , breathless and wide-eyed, rushed into the clearing.

Scout: "Your Majesties! Riders from Rudzi have been seen mobilising on our eastern borders! They bear arms and banners of war!"

The gravity of the situation hung heavy in the air. Despite their efforts at diplomacy, the aspirations and fears of both kingdoms had culminated in an inevitable clash.

"It seems, King Issei, that our attempts at diplomacy have faltered. I regret that it has come to this."

"As do I, King Zaire. But if war is what you seek, then we shall meet on the battlefield."
