I arrived at Westminster on a crisp morning, the sun just beginning to peek through the clouds, casting a golden glow over the city. As I made my way towards Big Ben, its imposing silhouette grew larger and more impressive with each step. The sheer size and grandeur of the tower took my breath away.
I began my visit by admiring the intricate details of the clock face, which is said to be the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world. Each face measures over 7 meters in diameter and is adorned with ornate gothic-style embellishments. As the clock struck the hour, the melodious chimes resonated through the air, a reminder of the tower's timeless presence.
After soaking in the beauty of the exterior, I eagerly made my way inside the tower. Climbing the narrow staircase, I was filled with a sense of anticipation, knowing that I was about to witness something truly special. As I reached the top, the breathtaking views of London spread out before me, stretching as far as the eye could see.
From this vantage point, I could see the River Thames winding its way through the city, with landmarks such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace dotting the landscape. I felt as though I was standing at the heart of London, surrounded by centuries of history and culture.
After a day of exploration, I made my way to the Edward Hotel for a comfortable stay. Situated in Westminster, just a short walk from Big Ben, the hotel offered a perfect blend of luxury and convenience. The elegant decor and attentive service made me feel right at home.
As I settled into my room, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience London's iconic landmarks up close. My visit to Big Ben and stay at the Edward Hotel were truly memorable, and I can't wait to explore more of this vibrant city.
