You Feel Like Home

Inner child

With you I get to let out my inner child.
I can let down my walls,
Be held for as long as I want
I can joke around and have fun
We can have fun doing anything
I get to use my imagination
And it's all because I feel so safe
No one has seen this side of me for a long time
I found a part of my that died
I'm not cold and uncaring
I'm scared and anxious
But around you that all melts away
I can be myself
I've told you enough about me that it would of scared a lot of people by now
But you hear those things and see me
See me for what I've gone through
Instead of what I was
And see me for where I'm going
I never feel judged and anytime I feel self conscious

You are right there with me making me feel better
