I stood there, gaping at the big screen meanwhile Clara was squealing and clapping, celebrating Pierre. What the fuck? We spent the entire evening together and he couldn't mention he's an f1 driver? I didn't even pay attention to anything around me. Clara took my hand and dragged me through the crowd to hug Pierre.

He embraced her like they haven't seen each other in months.

"I'm so proud of you" she said to him. Considering he was dead to her on Monday I was quite shook at her statement. She acted like they were a couple already. I wondered if things would go that far as being in a relationship. I guess all my thoughts were answered when she kissed him. In front of everyone on the grid, not caring there were cameras everywhere. I nervously looked around, scanning our surroundings for any paparazzi to be taking pictures. Of course I didn't have to look much, as they were literally everywhere. I nervously shifted from one foot to another, waiting for their moment to be over.

I needed to grab Pierre and force him to give me Lando's number if I have to. I was ready to use physical force. I didn't even know why I was angry at Lando but it sure felt like he was lying to me. Even though he didn't have any obligations towards me and was practically just withholding information that I didn't actually need to know. I pushed my rational side of mind elsewhere.

Clara started walking with Pierre to Alpine's box, not saying anything to me. I quickly followed them as I didn't have anywhere else to go. Everyone patted his back like he won the championship, but I guess they were glad for at least some points for the team.

"Hey Pierre, can you give me Lando's number?" I blurted, already gripping my phone in my hands.

"So the guy wins a race and you suddenly want him?" he asked visibly annoyed.

"What? No! It's not like that. I just wanted to make some things clear with him" I raised my voice. Why is he acting like this? I literally didn't do anything wrong.

"Fine" he said, typing Lando's number in my phone. I rolled my eyes as soon as he wasn't looking.

"Thanks" was the only thing I replied. Is this how's he gonna act everytime I interact with him? Clara didn't seem to even notice his behaviour.

"Hey C, I think I'm gonna -" I tried telling her I was about to leave but was interrupted when she walked away, following Pierre. Alright. I turned around on my heel and walked away. I was passing all the boxes of other teams, typing a short message for Lando.

"You didn't tell me you were basically a rockstar" I typed, not sending it just yet. Did it sound lame? I think so. Maybe I should just congratulate him. That'd be weird as well. This is harder than I thought.

"Chlo? Chlo! Chloé!" a familiar voice yelled my way. I snapped from my phone and turned around. And there he stood, waving at me with a huge smile across his lips. He jogged my way to meet me halfway.

"Hi" I grinned at him, forgetting about his secret for a minute.

"Hello Chlo." Nobody called me Chlo and it was really refreshing to hear his own version of my name.

"So-" we both said at the same time. We laughed at the coincidence, looking into each others eyes.

"You first" I said. I was curious if he had anything to say.

"I just - I wanted to tell you. I swear. I just enjoyed our evening so much I didn't want the conversation to be all about me, and races and my career. It always goes that way after I mention it" he explained. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't be mad at him. He looked at me, blinking with his ridiculously long eyelashes. His gaze a little bit desperate for my answer.
