Chloe's POV

I wake up on top of Beca, my eyes hurt a bit from all the crying I did yesterday. I look up to see Beca sitting there just staring at the wall. "Baby." I whisper and her eyes snap down to me, she gives me a small kiss and gives me a little smile. "How are you feeling?"

Beca nods. "I'm so sorry." She whispers.

I shake my head checking the time "Let just get ready because it's 11 now and Mom wanted us there for 9 because she wanted to make a full day out of it."

I walk through the back gate of the house with Beca behind me to see everyone sitting on camping chairs with beers, Jason's son Luke is running around with a soccer ball. "Hey." I say and everyone's gaze snaps to us.

"I thought Beca was coming?" Mom asks and I turn around to see she's no longer behind me.

"She was just behind me." I mutter walking to see Beca hunched over trying to stand up using her crutches. "Do you want help?" She nods and I turn around and lift her onto my back with her crutches in one of my hands.

I walk back into the garden to see everyone except Liv and Mom looking confused, I put Bec down and pass her, her crutches. "Thanks." She whispers looking at the floor trying to avoid everyone's gaze.

She looks up at me with a nervous look and I giggle making her roll her eyes as her phone starts ringing, she tries to get it but almost loses her balance. "Where is it?"

"Bra, I don't have any pockets." I pull her top away from her body and grab her phone making her groan. "DUDE!"

I laugh and look at the caller ID. "It's the hospital."

Beca groans as I answer. "Sup?"

"You're cancer free, that's what's up."

My jaw drops and so does Beca's. "What the fuck? How?"

"We don't know but your test results we took just before you left came back and there no a single sign of cancer in your body."

"Dude that's fucking amazing, that means I can actually do the stuff I've been waiting for."

"I bet you can't wait seen as you've been sober for long enough that you can legally be a mom to your son now."

I look at Beca confused and she looks away from me. "Yeah, over a year sober and Mom has definitely been letting me spend more time alone with him."

"I'm happy for you Beca, this last year I haven't seen you in the ER for something stupid. You deserve to finally be happy."

"Thanks Doc." She says signalling for me to hang up I do and look at her confused. "Wow cancer fr-"

I cut her off. "You have a kid?" She nods nervously. "Mom, we're going to my room to talk." I say and drag Beca upstairs to my old bedroom. "When were you gonna tell me you had a son?!"

"Look Chlo, I was gonna tell you soon but literally only people close to me even know about it, I was embarrassed that I got myself pregnant and I didn't want you to judge me."

I nod sitting down on the bed next to her. "I'm not gonna judge you for something like that Bec, I'm just shocked about it really." Beca nods. "Is Fin your son?"

"Yep."

I hum. "Do you mind if I ask who his Dad is?"

"Matt, we've been best friends since kindergarten and we were both high and drunk on god knows what when it happened."

"Is he a part of Fin's life then or?"

Beca nods. "Yeah but he's out with the military." She says with a light smile. "But yeah he calls most nights if it's safe to but we never know if he will make it home."
