Jungkook pov:-

Arghhh I am tired.

Working for 8 hours straight... That too in a convenience store is very tiring. It's almost time , the guy who was about to change shifts with me still didn't arrive.

Why's everyone late and not on time ? Waiting for the guy for maybe 15 mins more suddenly my phone rang up. The caller id flashed up my sister's name.

Confused at why this late was she calling me more over why was she awake at this hour . Just as I was about to pick up the call , a customer came and practically threw their stuff on the table.

Asshole!

I had to keep my phone aside even tho I was not getting a good feeling about ignoring her call but I had to serve the customer first

And at the same time the guy came and took over the customer. Freeing me from this hectic job. As soon as I was out I had to call my sister

I called for more than 3 times but she didn't answer . Iwas getting worried then suddenly she called again

"Hello!"

"Br- brother"

"What happened where are you ?? Are you okay ?"

"S-save me please"

"Where are you don't make jokes ..."

"I-i "

"Turn on your location I am coming soon wait for me please"

But the call ended ... What happened I am getting scared now where's she... I need to find her...
I kept on searching for her for more than 1 hour .... Panicking!! I started practically running and screaming

"Seojin... SEOJIN..."

"SEOJIN where are you "

I hear some grunting around me .... No no... It's not what I think I follow the noise and see someone laying next to the dumping ground. I can't make out who it was until I turned the body figure ...

"Sungjin......."

I woke up screaming ... Tears forming in my eyes I started crying .... "I didn't do it , I didn't do it" and started punching the wall, to the point that my knuckles started bleeding.

The only mistake I made that day was to ignore her call.

Maybe this is what I think I deserve for not being a good brother i started crying again until I passed out.

Reader pov:-

Coming back to my office and settling down every file again I started going through all the details of the case

"Jeon jungkook...."

Sighing, I started to go through the files again
This case is drowning all the energy from me . But I need to help him. I can't lose his trust.
Something in him today gave me a spark that I need to ..... Or i will help him.

But why ?

This case was closed but I need to reopen it because I can't get a hold of him being guilty
Something doesn't fit right here .
Something just doesn't.

As on my cue of thoughts..... My P.A knocked on the door before entering
