POV Adrien:

I was taking care of my wife for the past hours. She looks so fragile, tired and pale. She can't even move

I ordered the maids to bring me some food for Marinette and feed her but I was sure to try them myself first

At first, she refused but then I had to give her a sweet kiss on her lip but I chuckled when she giggled like a baby with every kiss on her lips

Damn, I can't believe that I was about to lose her

She was now laying on the bed, and checking from time to time her fever because she was poisoned till I heard knocks on the door. it was Nathaniel

Adrien: what's up?

Nathaniel: I brought the list that you asked for

Adrien: great, and don't forget to inform everyone in this mansion about that

Nathaniel: yes, don't worry, no one will tell her the truth

Adrien: great, you can go now

I locked the door behind Nathaniel then I got the papers and went to have a seat on the bed then Marinette started asking a lot of questions

Marinette: what's that?

Adrien: don't worry, it's just some work

Marinette: I saw you in my dream Adrien

When she said that, I lift my head to look at her with a raised eyebrow

Adrien: what?

Marinette: you saved me from getting poisoned and you gave me something black to drink

Adrien: it's just a dream princess. but don't worry, whatever happen, I'll protect you

Marinette: I know. you are an angel

Adrien: I'm far of being an angel, princess

I smirked as I leaned in to kiss her soft lips then I got the paper to check the persons that this maid talked with in the past days.

Fuck, she talked with all the kitchen's workers also Kagami, Lila, Alya, Zoe and all the women in the kitchen

I should act normal but the thoughts of having an imposter among us make me sick. I have a snake in the middle of my fucking house that works for Luka and wants to kill my wife

I'm worried for the first time, and I don't know what to do. also, I should act like nothing happened in front of Marinette. I want her to feel protected in her house, even if this isn't the case right now

But I'm going to sacrifice my life for her if needed

Marinette: seems that you aren't fine Adrien

I looked at Marinette's hand on mine then glanced up at her beautiful face. she looks worried

Adrien: I'm fine, I just have some work

Marinette: can we sleep? it's 3am now, and I'm sure you didn't have any sleep yet

Adrien: I can't, I need to finish my work

The bluenette looked down then she got underneath the blanket and covered herself. I sighed and stripped from my clothes and stay as always only in my boxers then I slipped under the blanket and parted my arms

Adrien: come here

She finally smiled and crawled toward me then she laid her head on my chest. I played with her hair till she fell asleep but I didn't dare to stand up, because she was sleeping on my chest so I just looks up to the ceiling, thinking about the problem I have

Luka's partner is someone who I trust in my team. Someone I trust is betraying me

I looked down at my sleeping wife, she looks so peaceful in my arms. I smiled and leaned down to peck her lips then I tighted my embrace around her and fell asleep

The next day, we are traveling. I wanted to let Marinette stay here badly but I can't let her alone, now I have no security in this mansion anymore.

I should find out who is Luka's partner as soon as possible

Marinette: I'll get ready Adrien

Adrien: there is a chance to find your ex there

Marinette: I don't care anymore about him. I'm a married woman and I have my own husband

I nodded and grabbed her hand to drag her to the bathroom. my wife looks so fragile, since yesterday so I helped to wash her

She is really adorable, looking at me with those beautiful crystal eyes. Marinette's eyes shifted to her name carved in my shoulder. She tiptoed and pressed a soft kiss on it then she run her fingers over it with a smile

Marinette: I love my name on you. it makes me so happy

Adrien: and why?

Marinette: because this prove that you belong to me.

Her gaze went to my injured bicep, I removed the bandage because I hate being wrapped like a mummy, so she could see the wound as it's deep and still red

Marinette: does it hurt you?

Adrien: no

Marinette: I own you a lot Adrien. for saving my life many times.

I smirked and grabbed her chin between my fingers to lift her head. Water was over us, her wet hair covering her breasts but I'll come to that later

Adrien: you want to pay me back?

Marinette: yes

I bite my lips and I grabbed her throat then I pushed her to the wall. Her eyes widen to what I did but then her hands landed on my chest. I slammed my forearm on the wall and I gave her a kiss on her cheek then I whispered in her ear while running my fingers over my name carved on her shoulder

Adrien: you are mine, baby. You are my possession, my obsession, my most coveted treasure, you are my essence. Marinette, you are all mine, darling. Her cheeks turned a soft shade of pink, like delicate rose petals kissed by the morning sun.

With the warm water cascading over us, I drew her close, my hands delicately cupping her adorable face. My lips met hers in a gentle yet passionate kiss

Our bodies pressed together; her hands slipped from my chest to my shoulders. In that moment, the world fades away around me with Marinette in my arms

I pushed the hair out of her face and pecked her cheek, the edge of her lips and last thing, I cupped her adorable cute face and kissed her forehead

Marinette held me close, her arms wrapped tightly around my torso, as if she trying to merge our souls through the strength of her embrace. Her head rested on my chest, I didn't hesitate to hug her back

Marinette: what we will do now?

Adrien: get ready and travel to Dubai and revenge for your best friend .....
