Here I was.

Again.

Backseat of this lousy old car while Riley was in the front seat, having a flirt session with her new boyfriend, Parker. It was uncomfortably quiet back here, while the two lovebirds were going at it with their words.
We are almost to Theos house, there to pick him up so we could go to that party. I just have jeans and a cami on. I don't ever get ready at these things– no one looked at me anyways.
Right as we pull up, he climbs into the backseat with me, giving me an awkward wave, to which I replied with an awkward smile. He sits next to me and I put my leg up, trying to get as much space as I could. He was so close, I could smell his cologne- which smells like Vanilla.
I look up at Riley, trying to tell if she even remembers I was here. I dont think she did. I put my hand onto my cheek, leaning onto it and looking down at my phone. Theodore pulled out a sharpie and tapped on my arm.

"Can I draw on you?"

His lips slip out quietly as he put his hand on my arm to keep steady.
I nod, looking down at my arm. He starts carefully dragging the ink across my arm. I wonder what hes drawing. It looked like just a small strawberry, but it eventually spread across my entire arm, (atleast below my elbow) with different fruits.
He put the lid back onto the marker and gave me a smile. Wasnt awkward this time. It seemed... sweet? I looked down and smiled back.

"Thanks."

He nodded at me and messed up my hair, to which I glared at him.

"Just messing with you, hun."

Was he being serious with the hun comment? No. He had said this many times to her, and others.

"Get out the car, dude!"

Yelled Parker from outside. I looked down, whispering a small "Sorry," as I got out. I immediately went out to the pasture and found the drinks. I simply grabbed a seltzer and walked to a tree, leaning against it and sipping it.
Strawberry lemonade was the flavor. Always went for it when they had it. Of course, who was sneaking up behind me? Riley.

"You have got to talk to him, girl!!"

I shook my head..

"He's just a dude. Not even a friend, Riley."

Riley looked at me, nudging my shoulder to edge me on.

"I don't know how to flirt either way, you know this!"

She pushed me towards Theodore, and I shot a glare at her. Of course she was going to try and get me a boyfriend this summer... I mean, I wouldnt mind if I got a boyfriend, dont get me wrong, but Theodore? Theodore Hutchin who had been most known as a weird antisocial since 3rd grade? Im not so sure..
It appeared his friend was talking him up as well, pointing at me as Theodore kinda smiled at me. His friend pushed his elbow towards me, now the blonde haired boy walking towards me. Riley smiled at me and walked off to her boyfriend.. My arm poked the fence when I leaned against it, tracing over the drawing on my arm with my finger.

"Alina, right?"

I nodded.

"Do you want to- well, like-"

I raised my eyebrow, waiting on him to finish. I giggled to myself.

"I was wondering if-"

He paused again.

"Do you want to get a drink with me? I mean- like, you just seem lonely."

I scoffed.

"Lonely, huh? Alright."
