It was the second week of school and Rina was sat in her math teacher's office; eyes boring into the clock as the seconds ticked away slower than ever. Why was she in here? Well -

She sucked at math.

"Miss Suoh, I'm sure you know why I've asked you to come." Mr. Suh had his eyes focused on his computer, scanning through the grades of his sophomore class. Somehow, with the three math assignments he had given, Mr. Suh could already tell that Rina was struggling and was going to struggle even more in the future.

"If it makes you feel any better, 56 is higher than the score I got on the quiz we just took." Rina stated nonchalantly, the dryness of her tone almost coaxing a chuckle out of her teacher.

He cleared his throat in attempts to maintain a professional facade. "Even if that's the case, Miss Suoh, at the rate you're going I've decided to give you a tutor sooner rather than later-"

"Please tell me it's not Chenle." Rina interrupted her teacher, the sudden plea catching him off guard.

"Umm... It's not Chenle," Mr. Suh said slowly, clearly curious as to why she was against having the air elemental as her tutor in the first place. "It's Lee Donghyuck."

"Dammit."

"Excuse me?"

"Sorry - oh shoot."

The electric user groaned, slouching in her seat and with a hand running through her hair.

"Do you have something against one of our top students?" He asked, weighing his options of who else could tutor her if she really did have an issue with the fire elemental.

Rina shook her head. "No - nothing against him." She held a small pout on her lips. How was she supposed to explain that he was probably going to rub it in her face that he's tutoring her.

"It's settled then," Mr. Suoh handed Rina a slip of paper, "Hand this to Donghyuck's professor Ms. Kang and she'll excuse him from his math classes to tutor you." She takes the paper from her teacher, reading through its contents. "So I'll be having math class with Donghyuck instead of you?" Rina cocked a brow in uncertainty, and Mr. Suoh nods.

"Fantastic." She mumbled sarcastically, shoving the sheet into her bag.

She got up from the chair with a huff, and as she was about to exit the office the teacher called out to her. "He's in the RV building room 127!"

Rina made the long trek to the junior's building which was situated in the opposite corner of campus from the sophomore one. "Maybe I should invest in a bike." She muttered under her breath, finally finding the RV building after 20 whole minutes of walking.

"Room 119, 121, 123... 127."

She stopped in front of the frosted glass door, raising a hand to knock on it until it suddenly slid open.

"What are you doing here?"

It took all of Rina's willpower to not roll her eyes right then and there.

"I'm here to give your teacher a note." She looked up at the fire elemental, irritation written clearly on her features. Donghyuck looked at her weirdly, finding it strange for a sophomore to be in the Junior building, even if it was as a favor for someone.

Rina brushed passed the male. "If you would excuse me - Ms. Kang?"

The professor lifted her head up from some papers she was grading, eyes landing on the smaller female. "Yes?"

Donghyuck leaned against the wall, watching the entire exchange in interest.

"This is from Mr. Suh - he's my math teacher..." As Rina spoke, her voice grew softer and she fiddled with her fingers as Ms. Kang read through the note.
