Dev you go to the room. I will talk to Abhi now." Naina said to Dev. He nodded his head and went to their room, while Naina headed towards Abhimanyu's room.
Naina knocked at Abhimanyu's room. "Abhi, may I come in?" Naina asked Abhi, as he was lost in his file. Abhi looked up from his file to see his mother standing at the door. "Mom, why are you asking for my permission? Just come inside." Abhi said as he kept the file on the bed.
"Abhi, I need to talk to you about something important related to Aarohi." Naina spoke after a small pause. "What do you want to say, mom?" He asked her directly.
"Abhi, today Sharmila, aunty, and Kajal came home with a marriage proposal from Aditya for Aarohi, and I want you to convince Aarohi for this marriage. Beta, she won't get a better groom than Adi. We have seen him since childhood, and we know him very well." Naina said to him:.
Abhimanyu was shocked by this unexpected proposal for Aarohi. "But mom isn't Aarohi young to get married. That too before Maya. I know, mom, that Aditya is a good guy, but still, it's too early for her marriage. At least let her complete her studies." He said to her that Naina took a pause before responding to him.
"Abhi, it's your grandmother and dad's decision. I can't interfere in their decision. You know then very well. I know I have neglected Aarohi a lot, and I have never taken her stand, but still, I'm her mother, and I think it's good for her." She tried to emphasise her feelings for Aarohi.
"Abhi, think wisely. Tomorrow morning we're going to inform Aarohi about this proposal, and you are supposed to be at your parents side." Naina said to him as she got up and headed towards the gate. Abhimanyu remained silent; he couldn't say anything, but from inside he was worrying about his sister's reaction.
Naina exited Abhimanyu's room after wishing him goodnight, while Abhimanyu was lost in some deep thoughts.
