Chapter 13

Nancy's Pov

As expected , I spent a few minutes watching Cynthia on a call with someone until she say no and close the call .

" Who was it ? " I asked in curiousity .

" Someone unknown . It's trying to convince me to go to a lake and that's when I say no . Do you mind if I go to the toilet like now ? "

" It's alright , I'll be fine . I can wait for you "

Cynthia's Pov

I still feel uncomfortable about the phone call I had earlier . I head to the toilet and find an empty stall . I lock the door and sit on the toilet . Why am I suddenly nervous ? After a moment or two , I get out .

Suddenly , a clothed hand cover my mouth . I try to fight it . But , I just keep getting dizzy . Now , all I can see is black .

Nancy's Pov

What's taking her so long in the toilet ? Something is not right . I head to the toilet and check each one of the stalls to find that they're all empty . Did she just escape from me ? Hold on , isn't that her jacket ? 

I take a look at the coat that's sprawling around the floor of the toilet . I take the coat with me and head back to the restaurant . Her bag and phone are still on the table . This can only mean one thing . Something happened in the toilet .

I dial Victoria's number . There is a beep until she pick it up . 

" Hello , who is this ? " she asked .

" It's Nancy . Look , I know that you and Cynthia are not on good terms now . But , I think she's kidnapped " I answered .

" I am on my way . Where are you ? "

" Mylene city mall . Shaun's gelato "

A few minutes later , I see Victoria approaching me . 

" Where was her last location ? " Victoria asked in a serious tone .

" How am I suppose to know if I'm not the person who take her away ? " I shrugged .

" Ok , tell me what did she do before she got kidnapped ? "

" She was having a phone call with someone unknown . That person told her to go to a lake but she refused . Then , she close the phone call "

" I know a lake nearby the park . Maybe , Cynthia's in there "

Suddenly , Cynthia's phone starts beeping and I look at the contact's id . 

" Who is it ? " Victoria tries to take a peek at the contact's id .

" It's Noah . Should I answer the phone call ? "

" Nah , I think we should just let it slide . Let's go , we have someone who needs our saving " she urged me .

" Alright , let me put it in her bag . I am taking her bag and coat  "

Noah's Pov

I want to call Cynthia because I was wondering how is she doing . When I contact her , her phone is beeping . Why is she not answering me ?  Suddenly , I feel an urge to visit my old lake house . I prepare my car and head to the lake house .

Victoria's Pov

I told my driver to speed up to Mylene city park .

" Can you go faster ? " Nancy is urging my driver .

" Can't you see that I am already beyond speed limit for both of your request ? " my driver turned to both me and Nancy .

" Shit , shit , shit . This whole thing is very disastrous " 

" Is there any important event that she needs to attend ? "

" No . Why are you stopping now , Mr . Driver ? " she screamed at my driver .

" The traffic light is red and it's a must for me to stop "

" Who cares about the traffic regulations when someone needs our saving ? " she complained .

" What do you say , Ms . Valor ? "

" Speed up with all you got "

" On it , Ms . Valor " 

Over the next few minutes , I hear cars clanking their horns at us . After a few minutes of my driver's crazy ride , we arrive at Mylene city park . I get out of the car with Nancy . I use my vampire speed to go to the lake .

" Wait for me , Victoria " Nancy said behind me .

" I am going to slow down a bit just for you , Nancy " I said .

" Race you to the lake , Victoria "

" Oh , I'm so gonna win over you . Just see it , Nancy "

When we arrive there , I see Cynthia with Noah .  

" What is going on here ? " Nancy voiced out her thoughts .
