I walked some steps when suddenly a voice of something falling came. I turned and the floor beneath my leg slipped. Ruhi was lying unconscious on the ground. The anger, frustration from the earlier encounter vanished and was filled with dread. This is the second time it happened and this time the reason was me.

Crowd gathered and whispering started. I pushed passed the crowd and I thought my heart stopped beating. I quickly carried her in my arms and walked towards the airport area

“Ruhi, wake up” I started mumbling to her. I kept taking glances at her and trying to wake her up

“RUH, please I beg you. I am sorry. Uth jao na” I spoke in her ears

As I neared to the area from where I left, I saw Kabir and Aarohi hugging. I tried controlling my anger as Ruhi was more important.

Suddenly Kabir eyes took me in. his eyes widened in shock and panic when he saw Ruhi in my arms. He quickly left Aarohi abandoned there and came towards me. He tried taking Ruhi in his arms but I didn’t let him do it.

“What the hell did you do Mr. Sharma? Why is she in your arms? “Kabir spoke when I made no moves to leave Ruhi from my arms. Aarohi joined us and her face morphed into worry

“Bhai, what happened to Ruhi di?” she asked

“I SWEAR TO GOD MR. SHARMA IF YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS THEN I WONT SPARE YOU” Kabir shouted

Aarohi held his arms when he was trying to wake Ruhi up.

“d___a” Ruhi’s faint voice was heard. She was breathing with great difficulty.

“Calm down Kabir. We should quickly take her to a doctor.” Aarohi advised

I nodded and started moving towards the cab area when Kabir held my elbows.

“I will carry her you and Aarohi can leave” Kabir spoke without any emotions this time. His eyes were glued to Ruhi’s face and didn’t leave it at any time

“NO, we are also joining you to the hospital” I spoke

“Its none of your fucking business to join us. LEAVE” Kabir demanded but I am not going to back down. It was my fault that I lost control over my words. She is in this situation because of me and I won’t leave her.

“Kabir its not the time to fight lets just quickly visit a doctor. Her breathing is becoming shallow. Please for Ruhi Di’s sake at least.” Aarohi spoke and Kabir’s eyes softened once Ruhi’s name was mentioned. He quickly nodded and within no time we were in a cab towards the hospital.

I was sitting at the back seat along with Ruhi in my arms. Kabir eyes were focused only on Ruhi. He had held her hands tightly as if he was scared that she would leave. Aarohi didn’t mind Kabir’s closeness with Ruhi but I was getting angrier. I had kept my hand on her pulses to check on her
