The company is best known as the home to the group DIVINE, actors Wi Ha-Joon, Go Youn-jung, Kim Sung-cheol, Kim Too-jung, Moon Sang-min and Woo Do-hwan and solo artist Taemin.
History
DVN Company was founded on April 21, 2021 as an agency for and by DIVINE.
In mid-February 2021, it was revealed that DIVINE was in a legal dispute with their agency, Excel Entertainment. After receiving help from multiple experts as well as their lawyers, they established DVN. A representative from the agency revealed that:
"The girls decided to go in the direction of establishing their own agency after considering every possible angle in terms of what agency structure would best suit them long-term activities. Their decision was also heavily influenced by the fact that they wanted to return to their fans, who had waited for a long time, as quickly as possible and do what they really wanted to in terms of music but also their identity."
On May 12, 2021, actress and actor Wi Ha-Joon, Go Youn-jung, Kim Yoo-jung, Woo Do-hwan and Kim Sung-cheol signed with DVN Company after leaving Excel Entertainment after their contract termination with the agency.
In May 2021, DVN announced that SM Entertainment was now their parent company as SM acquired DVN, becoming the label's largest shareholder.
On 2 February, 2022, it was announced that Moon Sang-min had signed an exclusive contract with the company.
On April 1, 2024, SHINee member Taemin signed a contract with the company for his solo promotions. She became the first artist to sign with the company outside DIVINE.
