Shelby's POV

Today was the day, finally I could get the potions I had made out to people. The preparations were going well until he arrived.
"what's up bitch!" I yelled angrily out the door
That stupid pirate also likes Katherine, My Katherine!
"you better stay away from her!" he yelled, standing very strangely about a metre from my house.
"I will not stay away from my girlfriend, you trashy toebag!" I replied as I slammed the door shut. I could barely make out muffled shouts from through the door. I laughed: he was such an idiot
I continued making the potions peacefully. A small buzzing sound emmited from my phone ; it was gem!
" Hey shoob! I've decided that I'm going to tell pearl that I like her." announced gem happily. "great" I replied but it didn't sound like I meant it. I'm really happy for gem and Pearl but being stuck between them can suck. "So Shelby?" I snapped off my train of thoughts and heard gem" what should I  give her? " I immediately knew this:I had been best friends with pearl my entire life." get her a pumpkin pie! She adores them. But, dip the crust in cinnamon sugar[writers note:I want pumpkin pie with cinnamon sugar!]

(At the festival)

"Katherine!" I yelled, seeing her beautiful silhouette in the sunset. She ran over and hugged me
"Hiiii!!!" she said happily
"The festival Is so cool" I remarked, staring at the many festivities littered around the field" do you wanna go get churros? " I asked
" sure! " replied Katherine
As we walked to the food court, I grabbed Katherine's hand: it was him!
" Well Shelby, what did I tell you about staying away from MY KATHE-"he got cut off by Katherine shouting
" Joey! I don't like you! I like Shelby, what  part of I have a Girlfriend and I don't like guys do you not understand!!! "
" I don't understand the 'I HaVe a GiRlFrIeNd' part" he replied, his face twisting into a cruel smile" why would you want to date that ugly, dumb bitch who acts like she is amazing at magic when she can't even fix her own family! "
Tears welled up in my eyes, how did joey know about my family?
I ran and I ran until I made it into a forest. My eyes were blurry with tears and I slumped down into a ball, resting against the tree trunk. I cried myself to sleep and I woke up to the sound of Katherine shouting "Shelby! Shelby please, come out!" her voice sounded shaky with tears. I pulled myself up using the rough tree. I stumbled through the undergrowth following Katherine's tear-shook voice.
"Katherine! Where are you?!"
"Shelby!" Katherine yelled with delight. I found her in a clearing looking overjoyed. I ran over and burst into tears onto her shoulder.
"it's OK" she comforted, putting her hand onto my cheek. She cupped my face in her hands and kissed me. I blushed so hard my face was like a strawberry
"I feel much better now. Thanks Katherine"
"let's go back" she said softly.
As we were walking back, I noticed that I must of twisted my ankle somehow
" do you want a piggyback: I can see that you're struggling?" asked Katherine
"yes please" I said jumping onto her back tentatively.

(Back at the festival)

Katherine had carried me all the way back to the festival and we arrived to Scott beating the living hell out of Joey.
"Don't" *slap*"Be" *slap*"A" *slap*"trashy" *slap*"Hoe! " Scott yelled "and by the way she's better with Katherine than you'll ever be!"
" thanks Scott" I said gratefully
"no problem." I'll deal with joey, you go enjoy the festival"
Me and Katherine walked further into the festival and found a cafe nestled into a tree clearing. And the best part was I saw Gem and Pearl kiss over a pumpkin pie with the crusts dipped in cinnamon sugar. I think Katherine saw as well and she remarked "I knew it!"

(3 hours later)

Me, gem's, Pearl's and Katherine's arms were full with a giant plushie bee we had won in a game
"sleepover at mine?" Pearl suggested
"YES!" shouted gem quite obnoxiously
We all laughed. Today was great, until I saw a silhouette illuminated by the streetlamp. JOEY...
Katherine also saw and very aggressively flipped joey off with both hands. I kissed her happily, now I Knew that she loved me, not that Ranky, manky, stanky pirate.
