Horror and Dust were walking down a dark alley, the night sky above them littered with stars. Dust was feeling uneasy, his heart racing as they got further into the alley he knew what was out there monsters, things that wanted nothing but to cause pain and suffering and he knew that Horror was the last person he should be walking with he was one of those monsters.
But just then, Horror reached out and his hand closed around Dust's for a moment, Dust thought he was going to be pulled into Horror's dark world but instead, his hand was squeezed gently. "Don't worry," Horror said. "I won't let anything happen to you."
Dust's heart skipped a beat something seemed to shift between them a connection, a bond that he had never felt before for a moment, he felt like he could trust Horror, that he could let down his guard.
And then, just as suddenly, it was gone Horror pulled his hand away, his expression impassive. "Just keep walking," he said, his voice cold and detached.
Dust nodded but he couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed between them. Maybe, just maybe, there was more to Horror than he had thought.
