Rough day

That night Tim doesn't put Sophie to bed like usual he just sits there and lets her play while he watches her Lucy shows up as promised Lucy:well hi Sophie:Lucy she runs and hugs her Lucy:well shouldn't you be in bed by now Tim:i uh got distracted watching her play Lucy:distracted or scared to take your eyes off her Tim:maybe Lucy:lets get her to bed then sort everything out Tim:yeah ok he takes her from Lucy Tim:bed time baby ok Sophie:ok daddy night night Lucy Lucy:goodnight sweet girl he puts her to be and brings his baby monitor he has kept in her room since she was taken back out with him Lucy:so what do we do Tim:i don't even know Lucy:why don't we call Angela and Wesley Tim:i cant the case is going through the DA's office and Wesley works there its conflict of interest Lucy:ok lets call Nyla im sure James knows a good lawyer working the community center Tim:thats a good idea but lets talk to her tomorrow its late i don't want to call Lucy:right have you eaten Tim:not hungry Lucy:you need to eat Tim you already didn't eat lunch Tim:alright fine theres some left over from what i made for Sophie earlier Lucy:what did you make her Tim:sausage wraps it was quick and easy Lucy:then eat he eats and they sit talking Tim:ill be back im just gonna peak in on Sophie he walks over to her bedroom door and peeks in to see her playing with her teddy bear Tim:Sophie sleep baby Sophie:not sleepy Tim:close your eyes and quit playing and you will be Sophie:ok she lays the bear down and closes her eyes he shuts the door and walks back to Lucy Lucy:she asleep Tim:no playing but i got her to settle down and close her eyes Lucy:does she do that often Tim:no she has been pretty good at sleeping lately Lucy:maybe she senses your stress kids can pick up on that Tim:I don't know thanks for coming over tonight Lucy:no problem im gonna get home before Tam calls in the cavalry cause im not there  Tim:yeah ok good night Lucy:Tim actually try to sleep Tim:i will promise he gets changed and heads ti check on Sophie one more time this time she is fast asleep he heads to bed and falls asleep alot quicker then he thought he would the next day he is off work but he has to go by the station to talk to Nyla he tries to Leave Sophie with Genny but she has a breakdown Sophie:no no no Tim:baby its just aunt Genny Sophie:no she has tears falling out of her eyes Tim:ok ok its alright baby you can stay with me alright Sophie:ok Tim:shh its ok he drives to the station and takes her out Tim:want to walk or carried Sophie:up Tim:alright he carries her inside and walks over to Nyla and Angela A:hey you guys i thought you were off today Tim:uh i am i need Nyla Nyla:me Tim:yeah you got a minute Nyla:sure A:do you want me to watch Sophie Tim:no she is having a bad day when it comes to separation A:got it they walk to the break room and Tim sits Sophie down on the little couch Tim:sit here for me Soph Sophie:ok he goes to the other side of the room and explains everything to Nyla Nyla:wow but how can i help Tim:does James know any good lawyers Nyla:why not ask Wesley Tim:case is through DA's office he is part of that conflict of interest Nyla:right um i can ask Tim:thanks Nyla:no problem hey it will be ok we got your back Tim:mhm Nyla:what happens to her if it isn't though Tim:ill put in for her to go with Lucy Nyla:why Lucy Tim:she told me if something happens she would take her because Sophie knows her Nyla:smart but why not Genny Tim:because she already has her 2 boys and i need her with someone who understands why she is the way she is with attachment and Lucy does Nyla:ok good but hey thats not gonna happen Tim:i hope not Sophie:daddy im hungry Tim:i know baby just a bit longer and ill take you to your favorite breakfast diner ok Sophie:ok Nyla:go take that baby to eat me and James will come by tonight Tim:alright just hit the buzzer downstairs and ill buzz you up Nyla:will do Tim:ready to go eat munchkin Sophie:yeah he takes her to a cute little breakfast place down the road Sophie:oops i got syrup on my shirt Tim:thats ok we will clean it off when we get home Sophie:ok she continues to eat getting syrup all over herself Tim:you are gonna need a full bath when you get home Sophie:sowwy Tim:thats alright baby come on lets go home he takes her home and gives her a bath to get all the syrup off of her Tim:alright all clean how about some play time hm Sophie:i want a nap daddy Tim:a nap Sophie:im tired Tim:you were up late last night alright come on lets lay you down in your bed she takes his hand and pulls him into her room Sophie:lay wif me Tim:you want me to lay with you Sophie:mhm Tim:ok i can lay here for a few minutes alright Sophie:yay they lay down and she falls asleep 30 minutes later Tim wiggles his way out of her bed not waking her and walks out of her room leaving the door open so she can walk out when she is ready as he walks out his phone rings he sees Lucys picture pop up and answers Tim:hey Lucy:hey just checking in its quiet Tim:Sophie put herself down for a nap Lucy:oh wow you didn't have to Tim:yeah i know this whole thing is giving me flashbacks I can't wait for it to be over Lucy:did you talk to Nyla Tim:yeah her and James are coming over tonight Lucy:great hey i got a call i gotta go Tim:alright see ya later he hangs up and goes to the kitchen and grabs a water then heads back in the living room and cleans Sophies toys up a bit 2hrs later he wakes her up Tim:Soph baby its time to get up sweetheart Sophie:daddy im tired Tim:i know baby but if i let you sleep now you won't sleep tonight Sophie:no daddy leave me lone Tim:Soph baby lets not get grumpy baby come on lets get you a snack Sophie finally gets up and walks to him Sophie:no and lays back down Tim:Sophie Bradford you don't tell me no he picks her up and takes her out to the living room to her toys Tim:there play with your toys Sophie starts screaming and having a full on tantrum Tim:Sophie i know your tired but I can't let you nap no more or you won't sleep tonight Sophie:keeps having her tantrum Tim:you know what fine cry it out thats fine he is trying not to get frustrated shes only 4 eventually she stops Tim:are you good now Sophie:yes daddy Tim:alright you want a snack Sophie:yes please Tim:alright he goes and grabs her a little pack of goldfish Tim:here you go baby that night Nyla and James come over and help connect Tim to some people who can help him then they leave
