Too Soon For Love

.Chapter Four.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes while sitting up. I looked at the time on the alarm clock on the nightstand it was 8:09. If I didn't get up now I was going to be late for work I woke Trinity up and told her to go home and get ready I gathered all my stuff and went to Nathan's room he was still sleep. I also went to Nolan's room who was also sleep. I was just going to send him a text once I got to work. I got in my car and cut the radio on and started up the car. Steve Harvey's morning show was on. When I got home I grabbed my bag from the passenger seat and got out. 

I went upstairs to my room after I said hey to my mom who was in the kitchen cooking with her scrubs on. I closed my room door and took off my pj's. I put on some Amber Blush Bath and Body Works lotion since I got ashy over the night and put on some black leggings and my work shirt. I got my black, white, and royal blue Boy's Grade School Nike Huarache Run Running shoes. I grabbed my MICHAEL Michael Kors Jet Set Saffiano Medium East-West Travel Tote Bag. I got my keys and went downstairs I placed my bag and keys on the living room table and took a seat at the kitchen table. My mom put my food in front of me which was Strawberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, and a hash brown. She poured me a cup of bright and early orange juice which was my favorite drink. After I ate I kissed her goodbye and went out the door. I looked at the time and it was 8:57 I was so gonna be late. I was suppose to be at work at 9 and I really didn't want to hear nobody mouth about me being late. 

I pulled out the driveway  and was about to text Trinity to see if she was at work or not. I looked up from my phone and saw her car pulling out the driveway. Then I put my phone back in my bag cause I already knew the answer to the question I was about to text her. I beeped my horn at her and she turned around and waved.

Once we got to work, I parked in a space close to the door and got out grabbing my bag and brush. I reached in my bag and pulled out a lifesaver mint popping it into my mouth.

"Hey chica." I greeted waving as Trinity walked over to me. "Hey bookey." She said smiling. I smiled back and chuckled a little at the name she just called me. "What's the plans for today?" I asked opening the door to the mall and walking inside. "Well I don't know about you or the rest of the gang. But I miss Trinity Renee Smith have a date with Jacob." She said smiling and stepping on the elevator in front of me. "Wait I thought we were all going to James' party." I said confused but happy for her at the same time. " I know but Jacob asked me out last night and I kinda for got about James' party. I 'll see if I could slide by." She said "Okay" I replied not really caring anymore. I wasn't really mad it's just she stood us up but she's my best friend and i'm happy she's going on that date.I but my bag in my locker in the back but not before grabbing my phone and putting it in my pocket and grabbing a couple mints from the green lifesaver bag. I'm glad Amber the assistant manager a.k.a fake ass Black China look alike didn't say anything to us about being late.

I started my shift and sighed as the first customer walked through the door. The only reason I got this job is because my momma and daddy said I gotta start making my own money cause they not gone be paying for my bills and all that other shit when I get older.

Eight hours later

"Finally." I sighed closing the locking the door so no one else walked in I flipped the OPEN sign to CLOSED. I sat down on one of the benches by the shoes and looked down at my shoes. Trinity went over to the back and came back with mine and her purse. We walked out and I locked the door back. We walked down the escalator and saw Aliyah a girl that worked with us walking through the mall entrance. I gave her the key so she could get in. She worked the next shift. "You ready for your date?" I asked her. "Yeah, just a little nervous." She answered back. " That's normal, you got anything to where." "Yeah he said to dress casual so i'ma do just that." "Okay" I said. I got in my car and looked at her through the window. "Call me later." I said "Ight." She said and with that I pulled off.
