- OsamaSon's mom opened his door to see him peacefully sleeping, unaware he slept in and is already late for his Pokémon selection. "Osama!" his mother yells from his doorway. OsamaSon jumps up, his mom had startled him. "W-what?" he asks, puzzled. He rubbed his eyes and looked over at his alarm clock. The clock read '8:26'. When OsamaSon realized what time it was, his eyes almost popped out of his head. "I'M LATE!" he yelled, his mom let out a small giggle, "Baby, it's okay. Just get dressed and I'll make breakfast while you get ready." Once his mom left his room, closing the door behind her, he rummaged through his closet and put on light blue jeans and a green shirt tucked into them paired with a blue vest. He brushed his teeth quickly and grabbed a pair of red Converse. His mom had just finished making breakfast when OsamaSon quickly hugged her, grabbed a piece of toast, and then dashed out of the door yelling "Love you, ma." on his way out. His mom smiled, "I love you too, baby."
- As soon as OsamaSon ran out of the door, he unlocked his bike and headed towards the Pokémon center, peddling as fast as he could. He finished the piece of toast he took in about 3 bites. He was still hungry, but he was more worried about making it to the center so that took his mind off of eating. After riding for about 20 minutes, his legs have peddled faster than his body could take, but he had finally made it to the center. "Welcome, young one." Professor Oak said. Panting and sweating, OsamaSon replied "H-hey, sorry I'm late I, uh, slept in." Professor Oak looked him up and down and laughed. "At least you finally decided to show up." OsamaSon became flustered and let out a nervous laugh. "I'm ready to choose my Pokémon now." He said. Professor Oak smiled and beckoned to him. When Professor Oak and OsamaSon were inside, they stood next to a glass case. Three Poké balls were on display. Professor Oak flipped something which opened the case, allowing OsamaSon to pick up whichever Poké ball he desired. He grabbed a Poké ball, and said, "I've thought about it a lot, and it took me a long time, but I've finally decided to choose.. Squirtle!" When he popped open the Poké ball, there was no Pokémon inside. "Uhhh, I wish I hadn't overslept. But, now I will choose as my Pokémon, Bulbasaur!" Once again, when he popped open the Poké ball, there was no Pokémon inside. Professor Oak chimed in and told him "Both of those were taken by kids who were NOT late." OsamaSon sighed, "Well, that's no problem, because my Pokémon will be.. Charmander!" Once again, there was no Pokémon inside. OsamaSon, worried, asked Professor Oak if all of the Pokémon were really gone. Professor Oak sighed, "Well," he said, "I suppose there IS one more, but I have to warn you, NO ONE else has it." OsamaSon looked up at him with big eyes. "No one?" he asked. "No one." Professor Oak assured him. The bottom of the display case opened up, and a single Poké ball came out. Professor Oak picked it up and handed it to OsamaSon. He took it and stared at it, blankly, he was hesitant to open it but he waited for so long to become a Pokémon trainer, how could pass this up? He popped open the Poké ball and out came a fast and energetic yellow Pokémon. OsamaSon was startled and jumped back. "PIKACHUUUU" the Pokémon yelled. Professor Oak laughed at both of them. "There's a reason no one else has it, young one." OsamaSon, trying to regain his composure, said "Yeah, sorry for even questioning that." Professor Oak smiled, he couldn't help but think about the great trainer OsamaSon was going to become, he had hope he would be the best. "No worries." he said to him, "Do you think you're really ready?" OsamaSon looked up, "I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I've waited for this chance for as long as I can remember." Professor Oak couldn't help but applaud his determination, "Well then, I guess that settles it. He's all yours now. Train him well." A huge smile broke OsamaSon's face, "I WON'T LET YOU DOWN, PROFESSOR!" he yelled with excitement. "Haha, settle down now, I know you're excited!" said Professor Oak, "Now go, you've waited this long, go start training." OsamaSon put Pikachu back in his Poké ball and smiled at Professor Oak, "Thank you, sir," he said, "I'll do my best!" And with that, OsamaSon took Pikachu back home.
- OsamaSon rode his back home, this time taking his time while peddling. Once he got home, he locked his bock up and walked in the door. "Hey, mom! I'm back." His mom popped her head out of the doorway to her room, "Hey, baby! How was it, which Pokémon did you choose?" she asked him. OsamaSon got nervous, "Y'know how I was late? I didn't have much of a choice, but the Pokémon I chose, his name is Pikac-" Before he could even finish his sentence, Pikachu popped out of the Poké ball and yelled, "PIKACHUUU" OsamaSon and his mom both got startled, "THEY CAN DO THAT?" they said in unison, looking at each other. "I-I guess so." OsamaSon said.
- hours go by -
"It seems like you're all set to start training now." OsamaSon's mom said, trying to hold back tears. "Mom, what's wrong?" OsamaSon asked, concerned, after seeing his mom tear up. "I'm okay, it's just.. seeing you grow up right before my own eyes is making me a little sad, but I'm extremely proud of you, my strong, handsome, brave.." -she goes on complimenting her son- "..trainer." She told him. "Oh, woah.. I love you, mom." OsamaSon said, "And I love you more." his mom replied. They both smiled and shared a long, heartwarming hug.
