It's the summer of 2015'' and my parents just came in my room and dropped a bomb on me. "What do you mean were moving?" who do they think they are moving me from my friends and family. "Yeah, Hunny we are moving." my parents said, to be honest my mom said while my dad was on a business call. What is wrong with them, what do they expect me to say or do my whole damn life is here. My friends are here. Our whole family is here. What the hell are they thinking? "And where the hell are we moving to exactly, MOM?"  I asked angry as hell. I mean why would they do this to me. They literally just dropped the bomb that's about to shatter my whole got damn life.

"New York," Mom said. Is she serious right now? "New York," I screamed at her in disbelief. I can't believe this is happening to me. I'm going into my last year of middle school after this summer, and they do this to me. This can't be happening to me, not right now, not at this time of my life. "No way I'm not going," I said shaking my head at my parents. Because my dad finally joined the ruining conversation of my life party. I'm not going. I just can't. "Vanessa, there is no more talking about this, we are the adults in this house and what we say goes. Now, your father has a job there and its only for two years, possibly. Plus, we already enrolled you into a new school and your sister into a new elementary school.  Plus, I would have thought you would be happier being close to Zay. Our move is a good thing, Hunny." Mom said basically, winning the fight.

"Vanessa, your thirteen. You do what we tell you to do. Not the other way around." My dad said warning me to stop my shit, because he wasn't having it. With my dad he would treat me like his princess, but he knows when to be stern with me. He is the total opposite of my mom who is always kind and generous to a tea. "So, this is going to happen?" I asked my parents. "Yes," both of my parents said at the same time freaking me out a little knowing how nsync they are. "So, I can't say anything to change your minds." I asked calmly while raising my eyebrows with hope in my heart. "No," my parents said again putting their foot down. An awkward silence surfaced the room. "Ok then I guess there is nothing more to say then," I said.

"But to put on record, I'm not happy about this," I said finishing my sentence and walking out the room and out my front door. I need to at least tell my friends about this. I know there going to be more pissed than I am. I found myself at Kerry's house. She is one of my best friends and my reliable cousin. To be honest Kerry is some of the reason I don't want to leave. I wouldn't know what to do without her. I walked up to the door and knocked. As my Uncle Chris opened the door. I smiled and hugged him as he let me in the house.

"Vanessa," my uncle Chris said. He was looking suspicious when he came to the door. My mom must have called him when I left the house. And gave him a heads up that I might be coming over because of the moving situation. "If you're looking for Kerry, she is with your other friends at the old treehouse at the Timberland's backyard," Uncle Chris told me. "Cool, thanks uncle Chris. I'm heading over there now," I told him with an unsettling smile. Then turned around and headed to the treehouse.

As I reached the backyard of the Timberlake's, I walked through the small number of trees at the middle centered of their yard towards the treehouse. Following the pebble path, I must have looked like a troubled teenager because I didn't realize when I reached the treehouse that all eyes were on me. "Hey, Vanessa," Cory yelled to me. As I looked his way while he kicked the soccer ball to Kerry.  As I looked around, I saw a few more kids here as well. I also saw our other friends sitting on a wooden log by the treehouse. It was Nathan, Angela, and Danielle's favorite spot to sit and talk about the cute boys on their street.

I guess I should tell the new and old friends the devastating news. I mean I have a very limited time to tell them anyway. I walked up to Cory, while Kerry was still kicking the soccer ball with Shawn. Then made her way over a few seconds later. "Dude, what's up cousin," Kerry asked, giving me a side hug. As Cory looked at me weirdly noticing my mood. "I'm moving," I said wanting to cry but not letting a tear fall out. "Stop playing," Shawn said walking over to join us. "Yea, that was a good one," Cory said with a laugh. But stopped when he looked at Vanessa face. "I'm not kidding guys, not even a little bit," I said to them and the look of confusion on their face matched mine when my parents told me.

As the rest of the day went on and seeing her friends sad for losing their best friend. They made the hours that were left in that day a very memorable one. Heading home she let the tears flow down knowing she would miss every single one of them.
