Four days passed, and Julia found herself having flashbacks of the memories they had made and the promises they had shared. Emily had bought a matching necklace for three of them, and Julia still missed it dearly. Days were slipping away.
Then, one day, a boy came to the café and ordered, 'One burger, one coffee, and a dry str...' Julia interrupted and finished his sentence, 'and a dry strawberry pastry with nuts on it?' The boy was surprised and asked how she knew.
In that moment, Julia's heart filled with hope-maybe Emily and Anna had sent the boy? Without saying anything, she served the meal to the boy and asked, 'Are you taking this meal for someone else?' The boy confirmed, and Julia simply said, 'Tell them my name, Julia.' The boy was puzzled, but he agreed. Julia left it at that.
She whispered to herself, 'If it's meant to be, that boy works for Emily or Anna, and they might come.'
Did you notice why Julia started saying 'Emily or Anna' instead of 'Emily and Anna'? The girl from the PG she met mentioned she only saw Emily that day. Perhaps only Emily came. That day, the boy had only asked for one coffee, one burger and one pastry. This 'only' changed everything.
Julia realized they weren't together now, something unexpected and terrible must have happened that night. She hoped the boy might be in contact with Emily or Anna, and one of them might come.
Days turned into months, and Julia found herself often thinking about Emily and Anna. However, as time passed, she began to forget about them, though she still wore the necklace they shared. Customers would inquire about her trio, and she would reply with a sad smile, saying, 'they went back home.'
Years flew by, and eventually, Julia nearly forgot about them altogether. People stopped asking questions, and Julia stopped caring about their whereabouts or whether they were even alive. She viewed their presence in her life as a small twist that had come to an end. She removed the necklace and placed it in a locker, discarding the key as she desired to move on.

Before the girl could finish her sentence, Julia dashed out from behind the counter and hugged her tightly, completing the order with, 'with nuts on it?'
The girl gave a weird expression, denying to know Julia, asked in a loud surprised voice 'how do you know?'
