Silent light
Enduring night.
Stars shall fight
Sun shall flight.
In this land of dreams
There's darkness tearing at the seams.
My head is never empty, though it looks it at first sight
It's always filled with darkness, never with delight.
An empty bottle lays aside
Filled with shame and not of pride.
Tracing the lines that stream up my arms
My heart is filled with slight alarm.
I sit for one more silent light
I fight for one more enduring night.
I may not see the next sunrise
But I'll wonder if anyone cries.
The night is ending
The sun is dawning.
My door is locking
And my heart is stopping.
