The Jar

Anna Wager was 12 when she lost her parents. Her grandmother took her in and was in her care ever since.  Anna had no one to reach out to. She couldn't talk to her grandma because her grandma was deaf.  She eventually found someone- no something to reach out to. VIOLENCE. She joined a gang and started beating people up. She was rude to everyone and never listened to people. She skipped school and was always being injured or bruised up. One day, she came back from a fight and was struggling to walk back home. A boy from her school saw her and wanted to help her but she shunned him. She continued to go until she fell down. The boy raised her up and took her home. Anna was 15 when she fell in love for the first time. She always went to school just to see him. She got kicked out from her gang but she didn't care. If he told her to do his homework, she would. If he told her to buy him food , she would. She did everything for him because she was in love- or so she thought. 

One day Ash told her to go to the P.E storeroom. She went there and saw Ash, his friend gang and a boy with a scar on his neck-shoulder tied up in a chair. She asked what was happening and he told her that the boy did something very bad. The boy struggled to talk but they tied his mouth and hands. As told Anna to punch him. Anna punch him once but Ash told her to punch him again. She did as she was told and punch him. Ash told her to  punch him a hundred times. The shook his head signaling her to stop, but when Ash looked at her she punched and punched and punched the boy. She hadn't even reached 30 times and her hands were already with blood. The boy was bruised, bleeding and injured. The boy begged for  mercy even in his state and she finally felt how it was to be beaten up. Ash asked her why she stopped. She said she couldn't continue. Ash suddenly didn't look the same way. He told her again to continue or she will be also punished. Anna didn't know what to do. She told Ash she thought he  loved her. He just laughed and told her she was naive. Anna's heart shattered. She didn't want what was happening. A boy  came rushing to her with a knife. She grabbed the knife from the table and told them to stay back with a trembling voice. Ash laughed at her and told her she couldn't do anything and further ordered his boys to attack her. Out of fear of death Anna did what she could. Before the boy could grab her, she stabbed the boy. The boy dropped on the ground with blood streaming before Anna's feet. She was petrified. She looked around and all of the people there had ran. The boy in the chair also wasn't there any more. She could only sit on the ground in front of body trembling. Ash and his gang went to the authorities crying saying that Anna threatened their friend and killed him. Anna was expelled.  She stayed in her room for days without food. She just cried all day and looked out the window when her tears dried up. Her uncle wrote to her that she is going to come to his dojo after a week. Her grandma couldn't do anything about the news but even if she couldn't hear she gave Anna a jar saying that if she puts a penny in it every day. Her wish would come true. Anna hugged someone for the firs time in her life. After that she left. She spent 1 year in the dojo training fand helping her uncle. She also put a coin in the jar everyday, just like her grandma said.
