"Good afternoon Treasure." Treasure's Therapist Dr. Daniel's spoke, with a warm smile lighting up her face.
"I hope you've been doing well lately. I'm really curious to know how you're feeling at this moment. Anything on your mind?" Dr. Daniel's sat comfortably, with one leg crossed over the other, absentmindedly fidgeting with the string on her notebook.
Treasure couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in Dr. Daniel's presence. She appreciated how she always made her feel at ease and encouraged her to express her true emotions. "I've been great, and nothing much I'm just nervous right now."
Dr. Daniel's smile grew wider, genuinely pleased with Treasure's progress. She had noticed a positive change in her over the past couple months since they first started their sessions. Treasure used to keep her feelings locked away, only providing brief responses.
Now she was becoming more open and willing to share her true self. "That's wonderful to hear, Treasure. I'm glad you're feeling great overall. Can I ask what's making you feel nervous?" Dr. Daniel's inquired, leaning in slightly, showing genuine interest to Treasure's well- being.
Treasure paused for a moment, gathering all her thoughts. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might be because I have to present my poetry to you for the first time." She replied, her lips feeling slightly dry as she nervously licked them.
"Ah, I see. Presenting something personal can definitely be nerve-wracking. But I want you to know that this is a safe space, and I'm here to support you. I'm really looking forward to hearing your poetry, Treasure." Dr. Daniel's nodded understandingly.
Treasure felt a sense of relief wash over her
as Dr. Daniel's reassured her. She knew that
she was in good hands and that her therapist genuinely cared about her growth and well-being."Thank you. Your support means a lot to me."
She smiled, showing all her pearly white teeth."One last question before I have you present your poem. Have you smoked at all this week?" Dr. Daniel's inquired.
"Yup, I smoked once everyday except for Wednesday and I even skipped Friday too," she spoke truthfully, taking a deep breath afterwards.
