Prologue♡
"Welcome to your hell, Anokhi; you have committed the greatest error of your life. It is my intention to ensure that you die."
Her entire body shook when Vivan whispered. He then took her hand and pulled her around the holy fire with him, promising to ruin her at every step.
Despite the fact that neither he nor she were interested, they were forced to tie the holy knot of marriage, and he was essentially dragging her about.
After forcing her to do the entire sat pheras, he turned to face the priest, who was both perplexed by the act of vivan and astounded by how relaxed the families were. He surmised that they had been pushed into marriage. He prays for their well-being in his mind. The elders' and Chao's laughter filled the entire mandap, but two of them were totally absorbed in their thoughts and not paying any attention to their surroundings.
"Y...you.. can fill vermilion in her partition and knote the mangalsutra around her neck," the priest remarked, shuddering as he looked pityingly at Anokhi, whose body shook under his eyes. It appears that he was aware of Vivian's lack of desire in getting married.
Anokhi wore a veil over her head to hide her face. "Brides' faces should not be seen by husbands before marriage," the princess stated. Vivan pinched a pinch of vermilion between his two fingers and placed it in her hair without opening her veil. He took the mangalsutra and walked closer to her neck so he could toe it; others assumed this, but it was not his purpose.
Anokhi closed her eyes, feeling uncomfortably disguised seeing him this near..
'This mangalsutra represents the sin of our marriage and your hell. His words sounded like a thunderclap, even more so in her ears. Her fist tightened on her leg. She felt relieved as he moved backward. The priest said, "You both are now legally husband and wife," and Anokhi felt uneasy about facing the demon. Throughout her life, she had anger issues, although not as severe as Vivan.
Anokhi felt relieved because she was wearing a veil, and her parents were unaware of how horrible her condition was. Her eyes grew puffy as she cried all day. She felt a drop of tears on her wrist, and then she returned to reality.
Anokhi noticed her wedded spouse talking with people who were seated near her. Everyone had visited them one by one, wishing them a happy marriage. Vivan was on fire inside. He killed Anokhi in his imagination, God knows how many times. They both approach their elders and lean down to touch them.
After that Vidai ceremony began, Vivan rushed towards the car, leaving Anokhi alone. Her parents come to hug her, but she refuses them and proceeds towards her dadi, having ocean in her eyes. She hugged her, and her Dadi also patted her back.
With lots of courage, she headed towards the car without giving a glance to her parents. She settled down in the car beside her husband.
She was quite everything was alright until Vivian spoke ''Hope out'' in the middle of the route and at this late hour. Anokhi looked at him through the veil in disbelief—is this the same Vivan she knew?
"I said Hope out," Vivian roared, and this time he was totally out of his mind because of the sudden loud voice of his she flinch badly.
Without thinking twice, she hoped out of the car and turned towards it, only to see how her husband left her alone at night. She saw the car until it disappeared.
She knows it's not even the beginning of her miserable life, and with that, she started to walk with heavy lehenga and jewellery.
It takes two hours to reach the mansion.
Where her in-law's was waiting for her with Thali. She was not even able to stand as she was holding the door for support she wanted to enter when Vivan's voice roared in the hall.
''Don't you dare to step in without completing rituals." Vivan roared was hard enough to shake whole haveli. His mom look at him in disbelief .
"First you put her life in danger, leaving her alone on the road at this late and making her walk to reach here," she took a breath and was about to speak when her husband interrupted, saying, "AAnd now she is not even able to stand on her legs. What did you get after doing this?"
"Satisfaction," Vivian replies shamelessly.
His face turned away as he felt a slap on his face. He looked at him surprised and turned towards Anokhi, who was badly limping.
''Anokhi, you have not even entered my life, and you make my own parents against me, such as...'' He felt another slap, but this time it was his mom.
''Get the hell out of here,'' his mom said and jerked him. Vivian went to the kitchen, and everyone looked at him like they didn't believe what they had seen.
His mother came towards Anokhi to do her arti rituals as fast as she could seeing her condition. Then she told her to kick the rice full glass by her right leg and to complete Grooh pravesh. With lots of pain she felt in her legs, she completed her ritual, and she collapsed on the ground. Her mother-in-law managed to hold her.
''Listen, you need to deepen your legs into this red water in thali and print them on white cloth spread on the floor.'' She nodded and did as she said, and then Vivian entered between this and threw glass on the entrance, shattering into pieces.
Anokhi unknowingly stepped on them and screamed left from her throat. Everyone rushed to her. The mere pieces
Of glass crush under her feet. Her feet deep in her own blood making its way to
White cloth drenched in scarlet red. Everyone rush to her but it was little late. They make her sit on the couch. Her mother-in-law instructed her younger sister to bring first aid. Everyone was disappointed by his act. His father glared at him, angry peeping from his eyes, and his mother looked at him. "If you have done what you want, then leave with this face of yours," she yelled as she saw Anokhi's condition.
"I will, but she would too," and everyone gasped. They hurriedly looked at Anokhi's figure, trembling badly. Without wasting time, Vivian held her in bridal style; his mother rushed to stop him, but he was left right behind.
Anokhi was in his embrace; she did not dare to stop him, she closed her eyes tightly each seconds his grip on her tighten making her hiss in pain. His steps was long and fast . He opened the door by kick and bounced her on the bed and hurriedly locked the door and moved towards the bed step by step as he was near her.
He pinned her to the headboard. "You badly want to become my wife. Nahh, now complete your duty as a good wife." Anokhi was shocked; her body didn't dare to move. He placed his hand on her ankle. Anokhi was observing his each action. He pinched her ankle; a small hiss left from her throat, but she covered it with her palm.
"Anokhi, as your name suggests, your married life will also not like another girl." He whispered in her ear, her hands were on her lap, and she fist lehenga in her hands.
Saying this, he grabbed the edge of her veil, and in second's it was in the air, following on the floor
