I decided to go with my favorite tie dye hoodie and some ripped jeans with my black and tie dye vans. Before I leave I text Isabel.

Me: Have to go over Justin's...
Isabel: Why?! Omg! get it!
Me: NO! not like that. I have to take them some mail that got here by accident. But I'm hoping he will answer the door lowkey 🌚
Isabel: oh shit! If he does answer, tell him to give top.

I set my phone down on my nightstand and exit my room and head downstairs. I retrieve their mail and head out the door. "You finished your homework that fast". "Um, yea, it was easy". "Oh okay". I walk outside and take a deep breath. Lord Jesus the house is right there, okay breathe maria breathe. I take slow steps to his house and a patient 5 minutes later I'm at the door. Maria breathe. I knock 3 times.

"COMING!" Fuck that's him. He opened the door "Yes?". Oh my god he's so perfect. His eyes so brown, is he looking in my soul? His lips on my god so pink. "Yes?". He said again and I quickly snapped out of it. "Um, your mail ended up in our mail box" I laughed. He also laughed, he thinks I'm funny thank you Jesus. "Well that's not right, thanks for bringing it by. Maria right?". What the fuck he knows me? "Yea, and Justin?". No shit. "Yup that's me". " You're in my English and chemistry". "Yes I believe so". No shit again. "Yea, well thanks". "No problem". I step off the porch smiling and shaky that I fall and hurt my knee. He rushes over to me and leans down." Shit, are, are you okay maria?". I am now. "Yea I'm fine". I get up, and almost fall again. "Nope I'm not fine." He laughs and picks me up. "Come in I'll wrap it for you". "Okay sure." Oh my fucking god I'm going into his house, he's carrying me, he smells good. Is this a dream? Thank you mail man.

He sat me down on his couch while he went to the bathroom for the stuff. As I looked around I was just sinking in the fact I'm inside his house. It smells like steak and fries. Now I'm hungry. He walks in with bandages and alcohol. "I'm going to put alcohol on the scrape to clean it and then bandage you up okay?". "Okay". He puts alcohol on it and it surprisingly doesn't sting. "Does it sting?". "Nope not at all". "Listen thanks for this, you didn't Have to-". "I wanted to". He cut me off. "I wasn't going to let you go off injured". I smiled . "Thank you". "No problem, well you're all set". "Feels better already". I laughed. "So do you want to be a doctor or something?". What am I doing? "No not really, my moms a doctor, so she teaches me all she knows". "Oh I see, what about your dad?". He stopped what he was doing and paused. "Um, my dad died last year". "Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know". "No it's okay, I've accepted it". "Oh that's great, because I haven't". He looked up at me, "What do you mean?". "My dad passed away 4 months ago". "Oh, I'm sorry, and you will accept it someday, you will". "I know".

I realized 2 hours passed by. "It's getting late I think I'm going to head back home". "Yea, see you at school". "Okay bye". I got up and exited the door. And while walking home I smiled a little. I just spent time with him, I said to myself. I opened the door, "It's been 2 hours, is everything okay? What happened to your knee!?". "Mom I'm fine" I laughed "Justin did it for me because I fell". "Justin? They have a kid? Your age?". "Yea, he's nice". he's amazing. "Oh well that was kind of him, and your pizza is in the microwave". "Okay". I went upstairs first, to get ready to shower, and to text Isabel.

Isabel: YOU WHAT? HUH? DID HE GIVE TOP?
Me: JESUS ISABEL NO! I fell and scraped my knee so he took me inside and wrapped it up
Isabel: HE SO WANTS TO GIVE YOU TOP

Isabel: KIDDING! Well how is he? Was he nice? Did he smell good?
Me: yes and yes! And guess what ..
Isabel: what?!
Me: his dad died too..
Isabel: I never knew! That sucks 😔 did you tell him about ... You know
Me: yea and he was so sweet, I never knew he would be like that.
Isabel: well you obviously thought wrong! What else happened?
Me: nothing really... And I have to go. See you tomorrow
Isabel: okay bye!

I set down my phone and headed to the shower. I'm going to sleep happy tonight.
