My dad always used to say, ' University will be like a calm walk in the park.' I tried to believe him, but then I remembered how he just went for the partying, not actually the studying.

Nonetheless, he got through it and said those were the best years of his life. Despite all this incredible hype about university, I was finding it rather mediocre at best. I have been at uni for 1 month, and autumn is finally settling in as October starts. I've always found autumn quite a pleasant season. The leaves fall from the trees and scatter the floor, making it a beautiful mix of browns and oranges. The weather gets slightly colder, and suddenly it's quite appropriate to wear a scarf and a coat. Walking to where you have to be with a coffee cup in your hands, warming them up is good too, unless your also holding 3 uni textbooks for your uni lecture.

One thing I was glad tough was that the dorm building was inside the uni campus, so the walk was short. The humanities building was a beautifully well crafted and old building. There were a few lecture halls, a small library and a chilling area with some vending machines and a beverage making area. It was probably the oldest and worse building in terms of shape, but it was good. Cozy. It wasn't like the brand new, cold and bland looking STEM building.

I sighed as me and Nobara walked out of the dorm building and started the small walk to the main uni building. Nobara had a morning lecture, so I offered to walk with her since I was going to the uni's main big library, which was located in a beautiful old church-like building directly next to the main uni building.

"Ugh, why did they put the textiles and art subjects on the second floor?? We carry so much stuff!" Nobara said, struggling with her bag full of fabrics and huge sketchbook.

"I'm not sure Noba' , but hey, your not the only ones that hate it. You guys make so much noise that the Film Studies students that have lectures on the ground floor get angry at you guys above." I said, laughing.

"Well, it's their fault for picking a boring course anyways." She said, as we finally made it inside the building.

There were a lot of students around the office and waiting outside lecture halls for their classes, so we pushed past them and went up the stairs. I tried to help Nobara with her stuff, but my arms were full too with textbooks. Nonetheless, I helped her with her sketchbook and we made it up to her class in good time.

"Nobara! You made it to class!" Yuki said, who was also a Fashion and textiles student like Nobara.

"I almost didn't! Nearly died carrying my stuff Yuki! Atleast I had Y/N." Nobara said, and Yuki smiled.

"Y/N!!! It's nice to see you, I don't see you around here a lot." Yuki said, giving me a quick hug.

Yuki was a second year Fashion student, and she was super nice. And pretty. And popular. And amazing overall.

"Yeah well, my courses building is a completely different one." I said, laughing a little.

"Well yes that is true." Yuki said, smiling.

"Well I'm gonna get going so you guys can get to work! See you at lunch Noba'!" I said, waving goodbye to the girls.

They waved goodbye back quickly and left. I walked down the stairs and out of the building, before turning to go into the smaller building next to it. I walked in and it was deathly silent. Whilst it was a library, it wasn't usually THIS quiet. And that's when I realised I was the only one in here aside from the librarian. I sighed and picked one of the available tables before sitting down and opening my textbook and notebook. I got out some pens and started making notes. The combination of making notes and the music in my headphones made the 2 hours go by quickly. When the bell rang to indicate it was break, I was pleased at the amount of notes I had made. I packed my stuff up and left the library, textbooks still in hand because I really didn't want to have back pains by putting them all in my bag.
