I woke up in Holden's hospital bed, I realized with a start that I must have fallen asleep here. Holden's arm was wrapped around me, his warmth and presence comforting in the early morning light. I couldn't help but smile as I leaned in and gave him a small kiss on the cheek, his murmured greeting of "morning, beautiful" filling me with a sense of warmth and belonging.

But our moment of peace was shattered by the ringing of my phone, an unknown number flashing on the screen. With a sense of foreboding, I answered, only to be met with the voice of an officer on the other end, summoning me to the station for Elijah's trial.

My heart clenched with fear and anger at the news. "You released him?" I exclaimed, unable to contain my frustration. "He's dangerous!"

But the officer's response was calm and measured, urging me to come to the station the next day. As he hung up, I was left reeling with disbelief and anger at the injustices of the system.

Turning to Holden, I felt a wave of guilt wash over me. "We can't stay at your apartment," I said, my voice trembling with fear. "Elijah's been released."

Holden's hand cupped my cheek, his gaze unwavering as he reassured me. "Don't worry, Tammy. I'll get us a new apartment," he said, his voice filled with determination.

But I couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at me. "No, Holden," I protested, tears pricking at the corners of my eyes. "You've already done so much for me. I can't let you keep paying for my mistakes."

Holden's eyes softened with understanding as he took my hands in his. "Tammy, it's not your fault," he said gently. "Elijah's the one to blame here. We'll get through this together."

And as he leaned in to kiss me, I felt a surge of gratitude and love for this man who had stood by my side through it all, offering me strength and support when I needed it most.

Holden's announcement about the new apartment caught me off guard. "Already? How did you manage that so quickly?" I asked, incredulous at the speed of his actions.

He smiled, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "I never told you, but my dad is a major," he revealed casually.

My jaw dropped in astonishment. "A major? Wow, you never mentioned that," I replied, struggling to process this new piece of information.

As we walked out of the hospital together, I reached for my phone to call an Uber, but Holden stopped me. "No need for that," he said, gesturing towards a sleek black car parked nearby.

I followed his gaze and spotted the elegant Rolls Royce waiting for us. My eyes widened in disbelief. "Is that... our ride?" I asked, unable to believe my luck.

Holden nodded with a grin. "Yep, that's our ride," he confirmed.

We approached the car, and a sharply dressed chauffeur opened the door for us, bowing slightly as we climbed inside. I settled into the plush leather seats, feeling a surge of excitement and gratitude for the unexpected luxury.

As we arrived at the grand mansion, I couldn't help but stare in awe at the impressive structure before us. My eyes widened in disbelief as Holden confirmed my suspicions.

"Is this...?" I started, my voice trailing off in disbelief.

Holden's smile widened as he nodded. "Yes, it is," he confirmed.
