Six beds were neatly arranged along the wall of a dimly lit room. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding, and each person who stirred from their slumber felt a chill run down their spine. Confusion clouded their minds as they tried to make sense of their surroundings. Were they prisoners in this eerie place? Were they pawns in a twisted game of fate?

The first to awaken, Ashton, rose from his bed and surveyed the room. Six beds, but only five bodies. A sense of unease crept over him as he realized the discrepancy. He approached the door, his heart pounding in his chest, and pushed against it. To his horror, the door seemed to melt away, only to reform itself before his eyes.

The sound of agonized screams echoed from the other side, sending shivers down his spine. It was the sound of pure terror, of someone on the brink of madness. What horrors awaited them beyond those walls?

The fifth one rose from their slumber, joining the rest in assessing the horrifying situation. The screams echoed relentlessly, causing the others to gather by the door. Trembling with terror, they exchanged fearful glances, desperately trying to comprehend the unfolding nightmare. Ashton's stomach churned with sickness as he instinctively retreated from the door, the sickening squelch and bone-crunching sounds filling the air. "What the fuck?!" He exclaimed, unable to contain his shock.

Suddenly, words materialized on the wall, sending shivers down their spines. "Welcome, players. This is a twisted game of survival. Utilize your wits and available resources to fend off the impending threats until sunrise, and you shall be handsomely rewarded. Collaborate as a team or watch your chances diminish until each and every one of you meets their demise."

They were petrified, paralyzed with fear, as they laid eyes on the eerie message that had materialized. Daniel, the other one who had awakened, turned to Ashton and snarled in a harsh tone, "Alright, this has gotta be some twisted prank or sick joke or somethin'." Before any of them could utter another word, the message vanished from the wall, replaced by a sinister countdown. 5:00 "What the fuck is that?" Ashton blurted out as he approached the wall. The numbers were already dwindling, and numerous squares emerged on the walls. Above them, symbols were etched, depicting various elements the group could utilize.

Gradually, the currency levels started to rise, one minuscule bar among a whole wall of bars. The tiniest member of the group was the first to notice. "Um...check this out," They whispered. "But what the hell are we supposed to do with it?"

A blood-curdling, severed scream pierced the air, sending shivers down their spines. "Apologies, but are we going to pretend that someone wasn't devoured alive?!" She screeched, her voice dripping with terror.

"We're aware, Marissa!" Daniel snapped, his voice laced with urgency. "Our focus should be on escaping this nightmare. What's our plan?"

Amidst the chaos, the only composed figure remained fixated on the cryptic symbols etched on the walls. "We must heed the message... keep the abominations at bay," they explained, finally tearing their gaze away. "I believe I've treaded these cursed grounds before..."

"Before?" Marissa blurted, her voice trembling. "Then you know how to get us out of here?"

"I'm not sure," The mysterious individual admitted. "I think we just follow the rules, and hope we survive the night." They glanced around until their eyes landed on a large clock on the other wall. "I'm Evony, by the way. I think we should all introduce ourselves if we're planning on working together."
