A/N: Hi everyone. So this is my first fan-fiction, but it's an idea I've had for a while now. I'm not an age regressor myself, so please tell me if I get anything wrong about that, or anything wrong in general. This is just a really fluffy story of Hyunjin being a little, nothing else. Since I'm pretty new, please be patient with my story-telling (I know it's not very good, I'm working on it). Thank you for giving this story a chance. It takes place in 2020, end of February.

--------------------------------------------------------

Hyunjin woke up on February 28th already dreading the day to come. It was his first leap year with the members, and he very much wanted to lock himself in his shared room with Minho and Seungmin. As a trainee he had been able to do exactly that, disappear for a day without any of his soon-to-be members worrying since they were so stressed out themselves. But that wouldn't work this year.

You see, Hyunjin was an age regressor, but that wasn't the only thing special about him. Hyunjin was born on February 29th of 2000, leap year. He found out he was an age regressor on his fourth birthday, when he regressed to the mindset of a one year old. Everyone was confused about what happened at the time, but soon discovered – after a good amount of research – the condition known as age regressing, or more commonly referred to as being a little.

Hyunjin didn't regress very frequently, but on February 29th there was a kind of condition. He would regress to what age he was 'supposed' to be, and he was stuck regressing to that age until the next leap year. Kind of like his little side aged like a normal person, but only on his real birthday. So when he was turning four, he regressed to the age of one. When he was turning eight, he regressed to the age of two, and so on. This year he was turning 20, which meant he would regress to being a five year old.

The members coincidentally had a day off the next day – Hyunjin was thanking whatever higher power existed for that – so all he had to do was figure out a way to get away from the other members. Easier said than done though. Not all the members would be staying at the dorm, Jeongin and Felix wanted to do something in the city, Chan and Changbin were going to the company to work, and Minho was doing who knows what. That left Hyunjin to deal with Jisung and Seungmin. He thought it was a bit weird they were leaving him alone on his birthday, but it helped.

Hyunjin was honestly contemplating just locking himself in his room, but the other members would get concerned if he didn't say anything and isolated himself. He could leave the door unlocked and pretend he was just chilling, but it wasn't like Minho or Seungmin – or any other member to be honest – would stay out of the room for the entire day, especially considering it was his birthday.

He also knew he wouldn't be able to pull himself out of his headspace, he never could on his birthday. His little side was usually pretty easy to pull out of if he needed to, but on his birthday it was impossible. Maybe because it only really happened once every four years, he didn't know, he wasn't able to find anyone else having this weird condition as a little (definitely not a reflection of my own struggle to find anything related to this very specific idea).

He'd also have to delay his birthday live, but that was easy. STAY didn't know about the day off, and it was normal for members to not be able to do their birthday lives on their actual birthdays because of their schedules. And he could just tell his members he wanted to take a break and would do the live the next day if they asked. Well, that would be if he was even able to talk like an adult to them.

Hyunjin had to settle for locking his room's door and coming up with a believable excuse the next day. Would that be hard? Yes. But that was his future self's problem to deal with. At the moment, he just wanted to not think about the topic anymore. He would separate anything he might need at night when all the members were asleep.

The members got ready to go to their schedules, consisting just of group dance practice considering they were still in the process of re-recording and practicing the slightly altered choreographies for most of their songs. Hyunjin was stressing about the next day on the way to the building and during practice, but didn't let it show. He couldn't let it show, the other members would start to get concerned, and that would make whatever excuse he came up with later less believable.

"Everything okay Hyunjin?" Jisung asked as he came up to Hyunjin and sat down next to him during a water break. Of course, out of all people, Jisung noticed the miniscule amount of oddness in Hyunjin's behavior. He noticed everything about everyone. At least he was quiet enough to not call attention to the question, so none of the other members noticed.

"Yeah, everything's fine, why?" Hyunjin questioned, adding a tiny bit of concern to the phrase. It usually made people think that he was judging them for their seemingly random question.

"Nothing, you just kept zoning out in the car. Thought something might've been up." Hyunjin gave him a slight side-eye, making himself look ever so slightly confused at what Jisung said. To be honest, he hadn't even noticed the zoning out himself, so it wasn't hard to make it look like what Jisung was saying didn't make much sense to him. This was a strategy he often used to push away people's concern about him, and it worked a lot of the time, making the person think that their question was dumb.

After a day of practice, the members went back to the dorm. Hyunjin tried as hard as he could to engage like he normally did, but the stress was getting to him. Luckily, the others didn't think anything of it. Well, he was pretty sure Jisung did, but after their interaction earlier he didn't speak up about it.

Hyunjin went to his room as early as possible, so he couldn't raise the members' suspicion that something was wrong any longer. He also hoped to get a little sleep now, so he could wake up in the middle of the night to grab what he might need. Although he ended up going against the idea because he didn't want to risk not waking up. And also sleeping in would minimize the amount of time he was awake and little.

When he was sure everyone else was asleep – even Chan – he snuck into the kitchen to get any food he might need for tomorrow, which somehow happened before midnight. But stepping into the kitchen he saw an array of sparkly decorations, balloons that spelled out 'Happy Birthday' and many pictures of him with the members and Kkami.

How had he not seen this coming? Of course the members would throw him a surprise celebration. There was no way they were just going out to do things when a day off happened to be on a member's birthday.

Hyunjin was frozen, staring at the decorations trying to figure out how he could possibly escape the others now. That's when he suddenly felt himself slip. Oh sh- his thoughts were cut off by Jinnie being amazed at the sparkly little strings that were hung across the kitchen. They were so pretty, the members were so sweet for doing that. He often wished Hyunjin would let him talk to them, but it never worked.

Oh right, he had to hide today. Hyunjin was very adamant about that. Not realizing what time it was, and that all the other members were asleep, Jinnie felt a sudden panic that a member might sneak up on him and that Hyunjin would be very mad that he was found out. He made a quick turn and ran back to his room, forgetting completely that Minho and Seungmin were sleeping in there. Well, he quickly remembered that when he opened the door and saw the sleeping figures. Jinnie closed the door slowly and made his way to his bed. Then he covered as much of himself with his blanket as he could, believing if the members couldn't see him, they would never discover his secret.

Jinnie felt a wave of exhaustion that washed away the panic as soon as he got on his bed. The day of dance practice along with the mental exhaustion from stress and keeping up the 'everything's fine' act had gotten to him. Although Jinnie was only partially aware of this, he never fully knows what happened when Hyunjin is around, and Hyunjin never fully knows what happens when Jinnie is around. Not being able to keep himself awake any longer, he closed his eyes and hoped no one would come to wake him up any time soon.
