Carmilla is standing in front of the window of her office, starring at her weapon-making empire. Her ears perk up to the sound of the door opening. When she turned around, she saw her little child, Mirabelle. As her eyes fell upon her little girl, she smiled affectionately.
- "Hola bebé, ¿cómo estás?" - Carmilla said while picking Mirabelle up in her arms
- "Hi mami"! - Mirabelle answered while snuggling into Carmilla's embrace - "Can we play teaparty?"
- "I'm sorry dear, but I still have some work to do. But we can play after I finished" - Carmilla furrowed her brows. . Even though she is an ambitious and workaholic business woman, she still loves her daughter and she holds her little girl in high esteem, considering that her older daughters, Odette and Clara, have both lost their lives on Extermination Day all because she couldn't protect them. Because of this, her protective, almost overprotective, instincts are continuously on high alert. She keeps Mirabelle close, one of her hands resting around her daughter's waist, keeping her safe, while she is writing with the other. Soon, she could feel her daughter leaning on her more as Mirabelle is dozing off. She gently carried her little girl to the couch in her office and set her down lightly and kissed her forehead. - "Sleep tight mi bébé"

A few years have passed, but apparently nothing changed. Carmilla looks the same, a tad bit colder and stricter. As for Mirabelle, she grew up and now she is a teen. But something else also changed. Their relationship. Now, Carmilla is distant from her daughter, cold towards her and barely shows her affection as if she was replaced with her previous loving and caring persona. And how does Mirabelle react? She does anything to get her mother back, so she starts working for her. Yet nothing seems to work.
It's another boring Tuesday morning. This is the time when all the workers are in the worst mood, since all the relaxation and resting from the weekends were gone and it's still the beginning of the week. This also applies to Carmilla. It's usually wise to avoid her at this time. But some are unfortunate and have to work alongside her all day, while she is in a bad mood. Mirabelle would usually prepare her an extra amount of coffee and have some alcohol in arms reach, just in case. She knows her mother and how to calm her. But there is another problem today. An overlord meeting, which includes the Vees too that equals instant arguing and constant headache. As a secretary, Mirabelle has to attend with her mother. Her job is simple. While Carmilla conducts the meeting, Mirabelle takes notes about the other overlord’s ideas. It's not like Carmilla is lazy to do it herself or she has Alzheimer's, but she just has too much on her plate. Mirabelle gently knocks on the glass door of Carmilla's office.
- "Come in" - her mother says with a hint of her Spanish accent. She looked up from her desk - "I don't even know why you knock on the glass door. It's transparent, I can see you coming"
To this, Mirabelle just nervously chuckles.
- "I apologize, mother, I-"
- "It's alright Mirabelle." - looks at her expectantly, waiting for her daughter to tell her the reason of her visit.
- "Oh, yes. Today morning, you have a meeting with the other overlords about what could we do to minimize the amount of souls that are most endangered during Extermination Day. "
- "Amazing" - her mother answered sarcastically with her stoic facade to let her daughter know that she is not looking forward to the encounter with all the other overlords, at all - "I'll be there shortly. Can you bring me coffee?"
"Yes mother" - Mira replied obediently

After at least 3 amounts of caffeine and a shot of alcohol, Carmilla showed up on time in the conference room, where most of the overlords gathered. Only Vox wasn't attending. As Carmilla's eyes scanned the room, she spotted some familiar and even friendly faces, including Zestial, who is a rather close friend of hers. Some would even say that they are friends with benefits or they are even secretly dating, but Carmilla simply dismissed it as she would do with any other overlord gossip. If she reacted to such rumors, they would get worse, so she thought ignoring them would be the best decision.
