"Darling?"

The sound of his voice caused you to lift your head from the book you were reading.

You met eyes with your lover, who was sitting
on the other side of the bench.

The slight autumn breeze made his hair sway slightly in the wind.

Yes?" You answered, still looking at his beautiful face.

"Oh, nothing." He responded, but something told you he was lying.

You shut your book and walked over to his side of the bench.

You sat in between his legs, your back pressed against his chest.

"I know you're lying. You're a terrible liar, love."

You felt his chest stop raising for the slightest moment, "I just think it's crazy." He whispered.

The back of your neck erupted in goosebumps. His voice sent butterflies into your stomach.

"What is, darling?" You whispered back.

He inhaled sharply, as if he was about to tell you a secret.

"It was instinctive," he started, "The way I fell for you. I mean, like an effortless intake of breath."

His words caused your heart to skip a beat. You quickly pulled yourself out of his grip and turned to face him. His face held a confused expression.

You grabbed his face and pressed your lips on his, smiling through the whole kiss.
