TADC Fanfic Lmao (Coming Up With a Title Later)

- CHAPTER 1 -

It had been a while since Pomni first joined the circus, days, weeks, months, it didn't matter. You couldn't tell what time it was, and you couldn't tell what day it was, so there's no real way to tell how long she'd been stuck there. Though things weren't all bad, she talked with her fellow members a bit more and had gotten used to how things worked, it wasn't as surprising and scary as it once was. Now it's all just rather annoying and inconvenient...

Pomni sat in her room, on her bed, legs hanging off and her head resting on her hands, she stared into the distance, zoning out, deep in thought, until a noise snapped her out of it. 

"GIVE THAT BACK!!" A voice yelled. It was Zooble, someone Pomni hadn't spoken to much, they seemed quite chill when they weren't being annoyed by the others though. 

Pomni gets up and peeked out her door into the hallway to see what was happening. Zooble was trying to grab something out of Jax's hand, Jax just holding it out of their reach. It seemed to be one of Zooble's body parts considering they're missing an arm. This happens quite often. 

"Ah, ah ah! Not until you say the magic word!" Jax teases, waving the arm around, a grin across his face. 

Zooble looked at him unimpressed. "Since when was there a magic word, just give me the f--king arm back!" They groan, their words being censored as they spoke. Causing them to look more annoyed. 

Pomni sighed, she wasn't sure if she wanted to try and help or stay out of the way, she knew Jax couldn't really be reasoned with. Jax and her never really got along, he would always joke around, not taking anything seriously, and he made fun of everyone else constantly. 

Soon enough Ragatha came down the hallway, supposedly to grab something from her room. She stops and walks over to the two. "Jax, just give them the arm back, there's no need! Don't make me get Caine to break up the fight again." She asks politely, though it seems she's quite sick of this behaviour herself. 

"So? Make him take it from me! Honestly, he keeps bragging about all his powers and never uses them! Well, except for teleporting us places and poofing that gummy gator out of existence..." He keeps a grip on the arm, still not budging. 

Zooble rolls their eyes. "You know what, I'm just getting a new piece, f--k this..." They start walking to their room, Ragatha seems pretty happy about this. 

"Good! I see you're taking my advice! Isn't it good to just be able to walk away from an argument--" Ragatha says happily before Zooble cuts her off. "Stop before I change my mind." "Oh, sorry-!" 

Zooble walks into their room and slams the door, Jax stares around at everyone else, he looks at the arm he's holding before throwing it to the ground nonchalantly. Guess he's bored now. 

"Well, I'm going to the main room to see what's up, haven't heard a word about any new adventures yet." He shrugs before making his way to the main room. 

Ragatha looks over and notices Pomni standing there at her door, realising she was watching the whole thing. "Oh, hey Pomni! Did you just wake up? Haven't seen you today!" She smiles warmly.

Ragatha was the one person Pomni had properly talked to. To her at least, Ragatha was the normalest person in the circus. She was always the one giving advice to the others and helping out when she could, she was generally very sweet. 

"No, I've been awake, just haven't left the room." Pomni says sighing "I'm honestly scared to walk anywhere because it seems like no matter where I am, Caine pops up and it always scares the crap out of me!" 

"Yeahhh, I know the feeling. When I first got here it was the same, he'd constantly be checking in when you'd least expect it!" She giggles, covering her mouth with her hand. "Though, we should probably bring it up to him at some point, since it's kind of a privacy concern..."
