Chapter Two

Narcissa Malfoy had always been the woman who I had seen to be willing to do anything for her child, even if that meant forcing Severus Snape into an Unbreakable Vow.

One that would kill him if he went against it.

She had also been the one to lie to Riddle's face all because Harry reassured her that her son was alive. A move many others wouldn't have dared to do.

That meant I knew that she could be an issue if I became a threat to Draco Malfoy.

Good thing I didn't really see much use for either of them yet.

Lucius Malfoy on the other hand, now he could be useful.

Because of my age, I knew that meant I couldn't access anything belonging to the Lestrange fortune outside of my trust vault.

That meant I would have to allow Lucius to either take partial control to allow my family vault and value to grow along with allowing him to sit in my Seat in the Wizengamot.

Or let it go to the wayside.

I wouldn't be allowing either of my parents to survive considering how demented my new mother was and how far removed my father was.

Plus, it was common for people to die in Azkaban.

Their deaths would leave me just a poor orphan whose parents couldn't have died sooner considering the role they played in the Longbottom House's fall to ruin.

It would also keep Bellatrix from returning to the Dark Lords side as well.

She was a good soldier after all.

"You seem distracted today," mused Narcissa causing me to wave off my current thoughts and focus back upon the delicious breakfast before me. "Did you sleep well?"

"I did," I answered lightly giving her a warm loving smile full of adoration, the fact that it was fake unnoticed to the woman before me. "Thank you for asking, Aunt Narcissa."

"Will you be joining me today?" wondered Draco from my right even as he kept the manners that he had been taught concerning talking at the dining table.

"I will," I answered after another moment of hesitation before glancing at the silent Lucius who had been overlooking the newspaper and the few letters sent to him. "If that is alright Uncle Lucius, I do want to make my parents proud as Heiress to the Lestrange House."

"You may," agreed Lucius with a slight dip of his head before setting aside the newspaper and letters which a house elf appeared to take to his office. "Today we will be discussing each current House that is active upon the Wizengamot."

Good, the sooner I learned what was needed the better.

It wasn't until later that night after having spent most of the day talking about the Wizengamot, how it was created to where it was now, on top of going over the duties expected of a future Lord to a Noble and Ancient House, that I got a moment to relax.

After that we had dinner where Narcissa claimed the rest of my time before bed to go over how a pure-blood female was to act. I believed it had been a filling day since I had learned a lot.

"Tiffy," I called out the second I had returned to my room knowing that there were a few wards placed around the room for privacy, along with the fact that there were no portraits.

"Yes, Mistress Calista," answered Tiffy with a silent pop as the house elf wearing a clean dress bearing the Lestrange crest appeared. "How can I be helping you?"

"How is our bright star settling?" I questioned lightly not bothering to say Sirius' name just to be on the safe side, considering as of yet I had no way to double check if anyone was listening.

"He's settling in well," answered Tiffy with a firm nod. "I have also called for personal oath bonded Healer to the Lestrange family to check him over. He has long way before he will be healthy enough for anything."

Now that was useful, with a Healer oath bonded to my family the only one they could inform would be my father or uncle, both of whom were currently wasting away in Azkaban.

"Well done," I praised even as a surprise filled me considering I hadn't ordered for her to call for the Healer, only to make sure Sirius regained his good health. "Keep up the good work and let our guest know that I'll be coming by in a few weeks to take him to see prongs son if he's in better health."

That should make him stick to whatever orders the Healer gives him.

"Yes, Mistress Calista," with that Tiffy left with another silent pop while the feeling of coldness filled the room announcing the arrival of Death.

"Time to gain my second follower," I mused softly even as I reached out to place my small hand in Death's clawed one. "Barty did seem amusing after all."

Death only chuckled before taking us from the manor and toward the Crouch Manor where Barty Crouch Jr was being kept hidden and with the Imperious Curse placed upon him.

Truly, it surprised me how he hadn't gone fully insane after all he had been put through.

Either way it left me as the winner since I would be the one freeing him.

"Hello little raven," I whispered gently while removing the cloak hiding him from sight even as I placed my trust in Death to keep anything from interrupting. "Time to break you out."

"Who?" rasped out Barty seeming to be fighting the Imperious Curse that his father had him under causing me to beam in pride.

"Someone who wishes to see you reach unmistakable heights," I answered words nothing but a purr even as my magic reached out to wrap around the man before me. "Death, I'm ready to leave now."

Death didn't offer a response and yet once more we were removed from the manor and arrived at the home that I had picked for Barty to recover at.

The complete fear that had filled his eyes at hearing me call for Death, and then getting a glimpse of the Being, well it truly did amuse me.

"You'll be staying here until you've fully recovered," I explained while feeling as Death left with the knowledge that They wouldn't be stepping forward to help me any further. "Once you have begun to recover from having the Imperious Curse cast upon you for so long, well only then will we talk about my plans."

Barty wasn't given a chance to respond as I called for another house elf, this one named Zippy, to take me back to the Malfoy Manor.

Afterward I gave the same orders I had given to Tippy concerning looking after Barty, even giving the known order to call the Healer belonging to my family.

That would keep them silent and keep the knowledge of both men being free and alive from the public. It also reminded me that I hadn't bothered to find a way to place a fake in Sirius' place.

Though knowing Death, They had likely already done so for me.
